As I mentioned it, I may as well start it. A weekly weigh in and general back patting and keep going thread.

I'm aiming to lose a stone before Christmas and altogether about 35lbs. I lost almost 8st before getting pregnant and now that baby is here need to get back on the wagon. The temptation of being home alone on maternity leave is hard though!

Hello Jenni. Good luck with this, we'll be with you all of the way!

I also have my own personal targets by Xmas, but I'm not going to publish them here but I will use this thread as a benchmark and track my progress against it as each week progresses!

I know you'll do it and hit your target! Good luck!!

My GP prescribes free gym, SW or WW passes. You have to lose 5% of your body weight every 12 weeks to get your next pass up to a maximum of 3 passes. Not saying it to cause a debate about if it's right or not.

Some gyms also do free sessions if suffering with 2 out of depression, bmi over 35 &/or diabetes

Chin up Hun! It feels rubbish but it's normal in people who are trying for sustained weight loss. Keep on doing what you're doing but if you plateau for another two weeks I'd suggest speaking to your diet coordinator if you have one!

If you don't then it may be worth keeping a diary of your food and drink intake versus exercise and either posting it on here or a PM img it to someone on the thread with diet and nutrition experience.

Good luck lovely!

It is disheartening when you have been so good and you weigh to find they haven't moved or worse still, gone up!!

I can only say, stick with it and keep going, you will reap the benefits in the end

...12 years ago I put on 4 stone with my first pregnancy....that's where my weight problems began. I then put on another half a stone and was my heaviest ever last year at 13 stone.....that shocked me into action. I've lost just over a stone but have a long way to go. I know I'm never going to get back to 8 1/2 stone and I wouldn't want to. I'm aiming for a more realistic 10 stone......time to stop blaming pregnancy for me

This was the exact same for me, this is baby number 3 and I'll put my hands up and admit I was terrified of piling on weight again this time. To the point that, if I'm honest, for the first 16/20 weeks or so I was still on a strict diet and was losing weight.

I always found though that the maternity leave/at home part was worse than the pregnancy bit for putting on weight though so I'm working on that now. x

"I weigh a few grammes less this morning than I did "

I weigh more than I have done in over a year! I feel fat and flabby!

Had an operation 7 weeks ago and just had a weekend in Blackpool!

Now need to find the discipline to diet and get in shape - which I'm not finding easy! Will post my weight here every Thursday come what may - as I'm hoping that will incentivise me to stick to it. If those 10Ib's aren't off by 15th December I'm having a shagathon until they DO come off!!

Bless you Hun but not at the moment I don't! Like many I'm simply great at breathing in and finding a good angle to take a picture from! 10lb's will make all the difference though. If I can get back in tone too it makes me look and feel completely different! Xx

I have very good willpower when I put my mind to it.

I've lost 5 stones before but unfortunately I'm an all or nothing person. I get to my goal weight & then all my bad habits come back & it all goes back on.

At least the "beach body" pics women complain about are perfectly again able for them with a healthy lifestyle, the majority of what is thrown as the "perfect" male physique is not possible without damaging chemical augmentation

I'm trying to get some muscle definition or tone or just so people can bloody see them! It's difficult as I'm veggie and don't eat a lot of protein and I can't cook so my diet is quite carbs heavy. It's mainly to keep healthy and to strength my core muscles to stop me getting back ache as I'm quite tall with lousy posture. It's not the overall weight per se but where it is distributed.

No, they're not. Unless plastic surgery counts as a healthy lifestyle. Anyway it's not a men vs women thing, how about we all stop telling each other what the right way to look is because it's bullshit when it's done to women and it's bullshit when it's done to men.

"My GP prescribes free gym, SW or WW passes. You have to lose 5% of your body weight every 12 weeks to get your next pass up to a maximum of 3 passes. Not saying it to cause a debate about if it's right or not.

Some gyms also do free sessions if suffering with 2 out of depression, bmi over 35 &/or diabetes

Actually I think it's a great idea if people actually use it! Far better than throwing antidepressants at people's problems! "

In the long run schemes like this work out much cheaper..targeting weight early on is better than letting it fester as the cost to the NHS will be much lower.

Ok, I went and got a scale and have officially weighed myself. To keep myself honest, I'll post my weight here: 130lbs.

So, I want to get down to about 125lbs, but I think I would rather focus on muscle definition and working on toning my thighs. So I have a new exercise regime and will report in next week

Can I give a little advice? Thats in the wrong order. The bulking, if you need it, should be done IN the gym with the aid of protein and good diet.

If you bulk before the gym, it will all be fat and you will either lose it all when you hit the gym, or not see any of the gym progress under the bulk.

Hopefully that came across right, I hope it helped (hubby has competed in BB and strength comps for years so have had this drilled into me over and over again lol x)

"I want put a stone maybe 2 on im bulking then im going to hit the gym and protien very hard

Can I give a little advice? Thats in the wrong order. The bulking, if you need it, should be done IN the gym with the aid of protein and good diet.

If you bulk before the gym, it will all be fat and you will either lose it all when you hit the gym, or not see any of the gym progress under the bulk.

Hopefully that came across right, I hope it helped (hubby has competed in BB and strength comps for years so have had this drilled into me over and over again lol x)"

I play rugby so im not technically just eating without burning the fat off im still training while im eating alot more to gain few more pounds but i am sick to death of tuna and chicken lol
