they kept billing me after the cancellation
even sent a few threatening letters
funny thing is that now i still have sky working and they have stoped billing me - its easy to be confused by sky me thinks |

Usual cause for this is signal scatter because of snow or rain, do you have any of those?
If not take a peek at the dish, it may be covered in snow and that is affecting the signal.
Failing that I would ask the engineer to come back and check the dish alignment and cabling to the receiver. |

Our dish was covered in snow and we couldnt watch sky so i had to throw the line prop at the dish and hit after several attempts but solved the problem and now we can watch 200 channels of shite again in Hd |

I don't know if you have noticed but some of the SD channels, especially film ones are looking blurrier than normal. At first I thought it was just my eyes but comparing it to Virgin Cable SD versions of the same channel I was right.
Wonder if it is a ploy to make people upgrade. After all you only have to reduce the picture to 99% of its size and stretch it back up to get lovely bilinear filtering blurryness.

in the end all the channels will be in hd.
just a matter of time until the majority have upgraded tv sets.
wont stop sky charging a fortune for it though.
never understood why direct tv in the states was so much cheaper, more channels in hd and better interactive stuff like nascar, nfl, mlb and nhl.
i could see why americans sit on the couch so much |

Snow on the dish ??
Failing that, the next most likely cause is poor dish alignment - don't try to move it yourself, you need a meter to do the job accurately
Other causes - damaged dish usually the window cleaners ladders are the No.1 favourite for doing that, could also be a defective LNB / cable or even a faulty receiver.
