I have been racking me brains on what to get my mate who aint got a lot of money etc...?

She still trying to buy her grandkids a little summat and then has her shopping to buy ...plus heating ...

So to say she is a little stressed would be an understatement.

Soooooooooooo

ive been real naughty and just ordered her .....

Her shopping from tesco.

Doubled up on everything so it will last her a cpl of weeks.

Now i just gotta make sure she is tomorrow between 3 and 5

At least its practicle and will save her a few pennies and remove some of the stress

I did something similar for my friend about 8 years ago and she's still appreciative to this day. Not the most expensive present in he world but definately the best thing I could have ever given her.

Well I'm sorry to say it but...undoubtedly what you have done is a lovely and thoughtful thing...it makes me uncomfortable that you have chosen to tell everyone how nice you have been.

Altruism is without need or expectation of reward and the telling of this seems like your 'reward' has to be people telling you how good you have been.

Sorry

Don't feel horrible Peaches... look at the rest of us who think it was an incredibly thoughtful thing to do.

I bet your friend will be overwhelmed by such a kind gesture. It is of course the season of goodwill and if you can afford to help her out like that then you shouldn't feel bad about it. You've done a good thing for someone you care about, that's nothing to feel bad about. Bet she'd do the same for you if the shoe was on the other foot.

Whilst I hear what you're saying, sometimes it's nice to share something good. Look how many of us it made smile... if it doesn't sit well with you then that's fine, it's your right to feel that way, sometimes having a little tact and knowing when not to piss on someone's chips is a good thing.

This place is the only place i can talk thru my feelings.

I live alone and therfore may use the forums in the wrong way sometimes.

I wrote it without thinking and certainly not to gain anything from it.

To air my thoughts.

Im sorry in that doing so ive offended anyone.

It wasnt my intention

And now i will desist in the forums.

It's not my intention to deter you from anything. It was my expression fo my understanding of charity...which essentially this is.

As I said...it's a genourous and thoughtful act but spoiled a little, in my opinion, by it's publicity.

I'm genuiniely sorry too if I've offended you.

Don't let people put you off posting here, you have done nothing wrong at all. It's the though that counts and it was not only a great though but a way of helping a friend out. If everyone had friends like you the world would be a better place.

It is meant as a gift from me to my mate . And i cant see anything wrong in posting about it to be honest.

Don't do that just because we have one bad apple seeking attention.

If you don't like then ignore it rather than try and be clever and look for attention. Maybe you should just leave this thread alone now you have added your negativity.

"Perhaps we should stick to the thread topic rather than post personal abuse in the forums AND via PMs?"

I am expressing an opinion and not trying to court attention. You have upset the OP with frankly crass remarks. You were pm'd rather than posting asking you to tone it down, maybe people would like to know 'You seem to imagine I care about what people think!'

Like i said maybe you should leave this thread as your only upsetting other users and its not big or clever.

I understand it to be against the rules of this site to post personal abuse...furthermore I understand it to be againt the rules to post a message that you weren't sent and attribute it to someone else with the intention of 'showing' that person in a light YOU wish them to be seen!

Then don't post abuse! If you know the rules then stick to them and stop looking for attention.

Like I said before leave this thread as you have upset many on it and frankly spoiled it for the OP.

I am giving advice but you clearly have a agenda on here and its not respect for others. Your tiresome and clearly looking for attention and I won't give you anymore.
