...people give you pet names. Hun is the worst, I hate being called hun, and half these people wouldn't say it to your face to face, so why call me it in a message or on msn? So don't call me hun, babes, baby, love, chick, sweetie or anything like that...That's my rant over with. lol |

I quite like being called 'Hun'. But then my first name is Attila so I suppose it is a bit rude. Oop North 'hun' would be the least of your worries. In some parts you get called 'cock' in an affectionate way e.g.
'Ow's thee, me old cock'
or
'Has tha' got the time on yer cock' [no but I have a timepiece in my waistcoat my good man] 
In Liverpool the only thing that winds me up is when young men/youths call me 'lad'  |

'Mate' can get you out of a tight spot though used with the right tone of voice along with a hand shake and 'man hug'. I've used it many a time when someone obviously knows me but I can't for the life of me remember their name.

Oh yes that is a personal pet hate of mine and Masters.. Master can call me what he likes.. ( obviously) but I get it from guys I have never ever met.
I normally reply with " was that message sent to me in error as I dont think I am your *insert pet name here*"
