I did a stint selling wedding dresses between jobs years ago. The shop also sold 'mother of the bride' type dresses too.
A woman and hubby came in. She tried on several dresses and liked a particular one. He then said "but it makes your bum look big."
To which I replied, quite honestly and without any thought "That's only because it makes your waist look much smaller."
She bought that dress and 2 others
