Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
I'm willing to bet that Liverpool will be be be. Rodgers' biggest role.
He'll go to Spain next, and end up at Port Vale or the like, via the NI job at some point.
Liverpool likely to get Klopp, unless he realises how many better jobs are about to come up (Bayern, either or both Barca/madrid, poss Chelsea). Personally I'd like to see them go back to the "Liverpool way", promoting from within. Gary Mcalister would be ideal.. |

Liverpool could've and should have won the league when they had Suarez, Gerrard and Sterling. Possibly would have gone on to win the league if it wasn't for Gerrard slip on the pitch in that game against Chelsea. That seemed to be the turning point in that season. Always easy to blame the manager though. |

People here don't blame the manager for that slip at all, on the contrary, the fans thank him for that season but appreciate that it was a one off.
Brendan had a lot to live up too and knew the standard he was expected to reach but he couldn't do it. Dalglish was sacked for Liverpool finishing 10th despite getting them to 2 cup finals and winning 1 of them.
Brendan just was not up to the job in terms of tactics, transfers or inspiration.
Prior to playing Everton he stated that with a bit of luck and good fortune Liverpool could win. What team wants to hear their manager put wins down to that rather than skill and clever team selection?
Ok, I'll shut up now |

Liverpool are no longer a big Club, no matter what their deluded fans might think.
Brenda should have been sacked at the end of last season as he has never displayed "the right stuff". He should never have been given money to spend in the close season. He is not good enough and FSG have shown themselves to be poor decision makers.
Who replace him will be interesting to see and it will certainly illustrate the ambitions of FSG. |

You're right, Liverpool aren't a big club any more but it doesn't mean their fans are deluded for keeping those aspirations.
It may take some work but at least 2 of the big 4 teams needed change of ownership and large cash injections before they could compete for the top spot.
The owners might have made a poor decision leaving Brenda in place for as long as they did but you learn by your mistakes and, hopefully, improve on them.
It doesn't stop the fans from hoping for a return to the glory days. |

how are you defining a big club? oh yeah, i nearly forgot you measure everything in this world by wealth, so because they aren't a wealthy club they're nobodies?.... they only have to put a couple of wins back to back and they'll be right back in the mix and their huge fan base (the true measure of a clubs size) will be happy again. .... and no i'm not a supporter. |

It wasn't just the slip from Gerrard that cost Liverpool the title missing Henderson for the three games also played a big part , Rodgers over achieved that season so he set the bar really high with the lose of suarez and sturridge out for most of the season he faced a big struggle added to that players who he signed not being able to step up to the marker it was only a matter of time his days were number . Who ever gets the job will want money to buy players who he wants Carlo is used to being able to spend money in big players , klopp is good at getting the best out of players he has with Carlo he his proven in the prem |

Is it true Liverpool are getting Clap? Will Brendan now be walking alone?
Will the new stand be filled?
Lots of questions for the transfer committee and the director of football?
Bring back King Kenny or Tommo or Souey or Ronnie Yates? |

Not sure that you can say fans are deluded, they are some of the most down to earth supporters in any league and have been there through the bad times..
nothing wrong with wanting the good times back again and when you have achieved what the team has over its history its natural to expect that to be maintained..
agree on the rest of what you say.. |

I have no sympathy for Rogers or the Liverpool fans Suarez could of bitten a a player per game I still wouldn't have sold him and for that little. What they did was only foolish a player mis behaving dosent make him less of a player |

I'm quite pleased we haven't gone out and bought the league like Chelsea, Man City did and Man Utd are trying to do this year.
The only top 4 club that runs the club their in the right way is Arsenal.
Liverpool almost won the league in the same way 2 years ago. Hard work and getting the best out of their players.
I think Klopp will get the players believing again. |

No, but Liverpool have bought 31 players in the last three years |
