So this is possibly the most embarrassing situation I've been in and that includes once walking across the dorm hallway bollock naked from the shower to grab the towel I forgot just as someone's family came to visit...)
Been to the gym and am in the changing rooms just had a shower so in my towel and a dad is in there with his about 5 year old daughter so it's awkward enough as it is. Trying to keep my back to them etc but drop the towel to put on my boxers and the kid must have been looking in the mirror cue hearing behind me... "daddy why is his thingy bigger than yours"... 
Pulled my boxers up and pretty much ran to the toilet cubicle and hid in there till they left _
Children should not be in the oposite sex changing room

Up to Age 7 in our gym.
It's only an open changing room though with not much room and sodding mirrors everywhere lol.

Hiding nudity from children only teaches them that bodies are to be hidden away and embarassing.
Being naked around children is a perfectly sensible thing as it shows that nakedness is not always a sexual thing and that their bodies are not something that they ought to be ashamed of. |

Yeah but being a man naked around unknown children these days given the whole peadogedden style take people have is just asking for trouble.
Also I don't like it when kids point at my scars or loudly ask their parents about them cause then the parents look at you as if you're some kind of mental monster .
Definitely need a family changing room or something in most places.

My ex used to take my son in the women's toilets whilst I took his brother into the gents, he's autistic and doesn't understand that you can't go in there at 13, it did run in there once as we approached the disabled toilet, the women were great and really understanding and helpful , but my face was all beetroot. I'm on my guard now though.  |

If their parents take them into public changing rooms then they know what is likely to happen.
Don't go projecting your own fears and paranoia onto others and all will be well. |

Why would you have a 5 year old child in a gym changing room? I'm assuming because a man takes a female child into the changing room there was noone else to loom after her so what did he do with her while he was working out
