Dad bods are the new gym fit?

I keep seeing posts on Facebook and Twitter that the dad bod is apparently what women these days are after, rather than six packs and guns Now I'm currently trying to get rid of my dad bod, trying to get trim and fit. Am I just wasting my time or should I get back on the beer? Any thoughts? |

Nothing wrong with dad bods, i like them and more about the face anyway.
I'm not overly keen on 6 packs, probably because i'm not gym fit myself.
Your body, do what you want with it and be happy with it. |

I'm a dad and I go to the gym . Have an ok figure I guess, though got right out of shape due to a broken foot - ( less active ).
Slowly getting my figure back though I doubt I'll strive for a six pack- a really low bmi isn't as healthy as people think?

May I change my post
I like a man with a nice body but that doesn't mean he has to be gym fit, I can see an attraction in different shapes although my preference is for men who are not to thin or to large

I don't neee guys with a 6 pack etc (although I do love a bit of muscle) but looking at examples of dad bods on Google they range from just average guys (fine by me) to hairy beer belly hanging over the trousers (no thanks!) x |

Shag, I know plenty of guys who are regular gym go-ers that have no problem with the ladies, on fab and off. Same as there are plenty of guys who don't go to the gym that have no probs with the ladies. The point is I think when it's a bit of an obsession and makes it sound like you've got a big ego to go with your big guns it can be off putting.
Same as chaps who think that just coz they've got a big dick they'll get meets. Being a one trick pony isn't appealing to most.
(Im sure there are examples of womam too but I'm speaking from my experiance of men) |

Exactly,point well made and put into words bang on.
I know a few lads at the gym I go get so much female attention it is unbelievable. You will never hear them constantly go on about the bodies they have. They are down to earth gents who women seem to adore,and they have magazine condition bodies. |

I don't really care if dad bod does become the new thing, I'm staying trim and fit. I do it more for myself anyway rather than to please anyone else because it's how I like looking that counts not what anyone else thinks. |

I like a dad bod. I also like a lean bod, a skinny bod, a gym toned bod, an average bod and many other things depending on whose head is attached to it. |
