I have various shades of dark blue jeans and I am in need of a pair of casual trainers to go with them.

What colours/styles/brands do you think are best

New Balance

Get them from the factory shop in Shap in all sorts of great colours for half the high street price.

The other point is Converse make me walk funny

I always feel like a fat duck in them 'waddle, waddle, waddle'

They're still cool though just not on me.

I love going trainer shopping with the OH. I see a pair I like and in many cases as soon as my arm stretches out I hear 'put them dowwwn'

I put Superfeet in my Converse cause I don't like the flatness of them.

Look up Superfeet in Google... they're footbeds that go in your shoes. I wouldn't wear my trainers without them. Worth a try if you have hobbit feet.

I wear Hugo Boss. Always seem to have the right colour for jeans and are stylish but understated.

They do big 12s as well.

Look on size for the recent adidas island range. Tahiti, cancun, Jamaica, Hawaii

Never wear one pair to death and depending on your age not white!

You could go 80's casual and get some diadora or Puma GV specials. Retro but very cool

Failing that ditch the trainers. You cant go wrong with a pair of brogues or a pair of suede penny loafers
