If I wanted to find out who made a website... is there a way to do it?

You can't if whoever created it chooses not to identify themselves.

You could try find whoever owns the domain name, but that doesn't mean they created the website.

Yeah that's what I thought... lots of websites say at the bottom of the page but I'm doing some research and I wondered if there was a way of telling.

You can try right clicking on the site and then "view page source" and look through the code for "author"..... It might not be there but worth a try.

When you are on a web page, on IE, you could click 'View' the 'Source' to show the script that used to create the page, some designers would put their name/company as a metatag or similar
