You missed Belize - Done the mainland/Central America. I've not been to the islands but Belize was utterly gorgeous.
Small, relaxed, mixed, diverse, stable parliamentary democracy, English is the lingua Franca and it's even safe to drink the water out of the taps.
Was supposed to be a stop over - stayed for two weeks.
I could live there. |

It will be a relaxing holiday with a bit of sight seeing, maybe? I'm incredibly lazy when I go on holiday |

We went to Grenada for our honeymoon. It was gorgeous. I don't do 'hot', but I knew if I was going to be persuaded to go once in my lifetime, the honeymoon should be it.
I suspect most of the islands are equally lovely, so I'd concentrate more on the actual hotel/resort.
I can't recommend ours since was totally destroyed by a hurricane 10 years later.

Belize is tiny - 150 miles high by 50 wide, I think. Population's 250,000 |

You missed lots of islands!
It all depends on the type of holiday you want as the islands are vastly different.
If you want to be amongst familiar holidaymakers ie other Brits then Barbados,Antigua and Jamaica would suit you. If you want gritty, back to basics, nature at its finest then Dominica, St Vincent, Grenada, Montserrat, St Kitts are brilliant. If you want American influenced go Trinidad but better beaches in Tobago. If you want French go Guadeloupe or Martinique. If you want Dutch go Curacao. If you want a mix go St Martin....there's hundreds of islands to choose from! And that's without even considering the South American mainland. |

We have been to Mexico twice, stayed in Cancun once which was a lovely place, sea on one side and mangroves on the other,
2nd time we stayed at the sensotori resort in Rivera maya, the most amazing holiday we have ever had, they really looked after us the food was amazing the hotel was gorgeous, only issue was it was in the middle of nowhere so you were stuck there unless you did the trips, if you do Mexico can I recommend chitzanitza (sic) an amazing place |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
Only been to Antigua, but been multiple times. Fantastic island - safe, friendly, beautiful, wide range of hotels, direct flights, drive on the correct side.
Highly recommended. Going again for a friend's wedding next year. |

"Been to Cuba, Anguilla, St Barts mainly. All good but Cuba best for now, St Barts chic and lovely. Cuba will be spoiled somewhat with the influx of mass US tourism. Get there early."

Anguilla if you want to purely relax and be away from the mainstream tourist trail
Yes, there are tourists, but nowhere near as many as on the 'mainstream' islands, and even though it's 14 miles by 3, there's no sense of being cramped in
And St Martin is a short boat ride away for a busier day trip (plus the world's most insane airport, with the planes landing more or less on sunbathers' heads!)
Went out there in April, and going again in January, highly recommended |

We've been to Jamaica,Dom Rep and Cuba and our favourite was Cuba. The people are so friendly and we felt far safer walking around with our cameras than at the other 2. The whole communist culture was fascinating. We stayed at a beach front resort and did a 2 day trip to Havana, which we would recommend anybody do.
With all the old cars and buildings, it was like stepping back in time, but as mentioned in other posts, if you don't go soon that will all change if they make friends with America. |

It will become more commercialised and if embargos are lifted, they will have access to more western products. Which will result in the disappearance of all the classic American cars they currently have. Over time the culture will probably change too. Lots of the locals we spoke to were saying the same thing.

Belize is a shit hole!
I did jungle warfare training there and also went back a couple of years ago for a few days. Unless, of course, you enjoy seeing abject poverty down every street.
If I were going to the Caribbean again I'd definitely head to Cozumel or Grand Cayman. |

I've been to all of the ones on your list except the last two, and been to a few others.
They are all different which is what makes them all good destinations. Some are quieter than others but my suggestion is to choose the one that matches your availability and budget. All of them can deliver a great holiday. |
