So i joined fab in the assumption i would be able to meet guys that would wine and dine me, spoil me rotten before taking advantage and showing me what a real man is made of.

I think every woman has the right to be spoiled but whether it should be a pre-requisite to sex on a meet arrange through this site is another question; personally I would say that spoiling shouldn't be part of the deal, unless the guy wants of course.

Consent to having sex must be mutual; if advantage is taken then its all involved taking advantage of each other - therefore no need for any single person to be treated different.

Don't ask me, society seems to frown if you ask for money, look startled if you ask for shopping but wink if you ask to be wined and dined.

In a modern, equal society, I've never quite been able to understand the differences, but it certainly goes on on here.

Personally we would never pay, nor ask for anything in exchange for meeting us.

Obviously it's up to you as an individual to choose whether to take further and being made to feel sexy is all part of the build up to good sex....

You're right. But this happens in regular dating too. Even the assumptions part. And it goes back to my original point about this probably not being the right site for this as most (not all) of the men here are looking for sex and not a date. So the 'wine and dine' request may be seen as more of a transaction.

Its often complained about by single men in the forums, no?

My point is.. You want to be wined and dined on a meet, but if you don't like them they have have spent a bit of money (meal and drinks) with nothing in return and may feel they are being used just for drinks and food.

I don't assume anything. I expect manners and to be treated with respect. It's how I would behave towards someone I meet.

I'm happier meeting socially first but I don't need someone to buy me dinner to make me feel sexy. I don't need anyone to make me feel sexy, that comes from within.

If dinner was on the table I would expect to pay my way. Offering sex for dinner/drinks would leave me feeling a bit dirty and not in a good way.

Often things are taken quite literally because there are people on here who expect more than you suggested.

Social meets are very common and there's nothing wrong with wanting to have a chance to get to know someone and flirt a bit. It's all part of the build up. I can understand what you mean about wanting someone to make you feel sexy in that context. I still think most of it comes from you but spending time with someone who thinks you're sexy makes you feel even better.

If that is a condition they have to meet before playing with you then, yes it's wrong.

That makes it a form of payment for sex.

So very true!! Kate usually texts pictures to meet while she's getting ready. Having the guys giving positive comments makes her enjoy it so much more. (Well if they said she looked shut I think the meet would be canceled. )

That said, we've not done the whole meal thing but if we did, we'd pay for everything. We hate discussing anything to do with money. So we always pay for rooms etc.

But the concept is fine - use the site how you want to.
