I learned today that having pampas grass in your garden was some kind of covert signal that swingers live in that house.

Anyone else know this or other interesting trivia?

I had 'known' this way before realising I was a swinger at heart. I started a thread about it too because it seemed hot tubs had become the new 'sign'

Some folk seem to believe that.

I feel sorry for the gardeners that like pampas grass.

Of course, an ankle bracelet is different.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

When I was a child, we moved house and the new house had pampas grass outside.

As did most of the houses in that street. So, either it was a hotbed of swinging, or the developer thought it was exotic and enticing.

It doesn't seem like it would be easy stuff to cut down either, so there will be plenty of non swingers stuck with it.

Mostly in GU24

If pampas grass indicates swingers then Plymouth must be a hotbed! Have you seen how many pampas grass is planted as you come off the dual carriageway near the big branch of Sainsbury's!

I read this in a comment online. Some stranger thought her neighbour was as she is always in a hot tub.

Both myself & an elder colleague said we wanted hot tubs. Doubt she swings tho. Lol i hope she dont. Would hate to bump into her at a party

Pampas grass?

Someone needs to have a word with the members of the Sergeants' Mess at Bovington then.
