If having a few drinks is mentioned I'd bring a bottle or two but I wouldn't take an outright gift or flowers. |

Agreed, you are always best off asking the couple in question if you are unsure. Communication is key, and there is no need to be anything other than open and honest about things you are unsure of. Enjoy your meet! |

I never expect gifts but if I received one its lovely, usually alcohol or chocolate is acceptable.
As for staying the night, its definetly something to be discussed, I'd be slightly amused if someone turned up with a toothbrush and pyjamas  |

I think that's nice, coz they have to wash the sheets and that after you've gone. I just like if a guy helps me sort the bed out afterwards.
Don't think you have to give them anything though, it's just a nice gesture. |
