Still hurts this morning, think the kick to the corner was the right idea but everything after that was spotted and out played by wales, the throw should've been longer and basic handling that handed the game to Wales. Well played by a team hamstrung by injuries, bring on the Aussies, we can still do this

It'll be easier if you just accept now, that you're going out of the RWC. All the Aussies need to do is win their matches.

Wales v Fiji is the big game today. If Wales have a big win then it makes things difficult for England. Fiji have 2 star players injured which takes the heat off the depleted Welsh squad, Gatland won't let Wales go into the game thinking it's an easy win. So a win tonight will need England to beat Australia to stand a chance of getting out of the group stage

wales vs fiji is at 4.45

france vs canada is at 8

the wales game will be the more interesting.... because there are going to be caught between possibly just trying to win the game (looking ahead to the australia game next weekend) and possibly having to chase bonus points....

remember England did get the 4 try bonus point against fiji.... but australia didn't.... and england got a losing bonus point against wales.....

the winner of the wales/england/australia group likely gets the loser of the Scotland vs south africa game on saturday in the quarter finals....

2nd in that group will get the winner....

winner of the france vs ireland game a week on saturday gets to avoid new zealand in the quarter final... they would likely get argentina

loser of that france ireland game will get the all blacks.....

minibus i am sure comes in handy today with the local transport strike going on....

i know they tried to use it to hold the employers to ransom... but you think about the amount of goodwill they have lost for inconviencing as many people as they could, who had to get there tickets months and months in advance

the only thing the welsh have got going all day is the line out and the rolling maul

fiji have been the better team at the scrum and in the loose

The problem the England teams have in attracting support from many other home nation supporters is that the media is soooo unbearable.

Eg last Saturday it was reported on BBC that England lost rather than Wales had won. Or that there are ads supporting England on national TV but none supporting other home nations. Or that the papers talk about how good England are but barely give Wales, Scotland or Ireland a chance. Ironic that they'll be the ones in the quarter finals!

England have never had any support from the other home nations but surely that is just friendly rivalry ( man utd / city ) when I read the papers as I live in the midlands the press is biased towards us , when I go to visit my sister in Cardiff its different , and as for the ads , well I don't know how advertising companies work but they must know what they're doing else they wouldn't be .

I don't think you're right about friendly rivalry. It's my take on the media bias;when England lose tomorrow, the media will talk about how hard it was for England rather than praising Wales and Australia for playing well. Just watch.

I do love a conspiracy theory, and I think tomorrow night might be one.

I really can't see the RFU wanting England as hosts to be the first team knocked out of the competition.

The last time England played The Wallabies Australia found themselves getting pinged by the Ref on every single scrum, resulting in a Wallabies defeat.

I have a funny feeling We might get a similar situation tomorrow with the Ref only blowing his whistle against 1 team.

Time will tell

If Australia win tomorrow then both them and us are guaranteed to qualify. Who finishes first or second would then come down to next weekends result.

Even a draw tomorrow without England getting a bonus point would be a good enough result for us. That would take them to 8 and even with the 5 pointer over Uruguay next weekend would only take them level with us on 13, but we would have the advamtage in the event of a tie on points as we beat them. They would then need us to beat the aussies next weekend for them to qualify, whereas we could lose without a losing bonus and still qualify anyway.
