i heard it on sky news this morning like most sky vewers they gave it a miss and i have to agree its bad may be he should have used the song on the euro song contest aye but no doubt it will get to number1 in the charts |

Best Bond film too
The bit of the new theme I heard earlier is utter soulless crap, generic chart fodder shat out through the Cowell patented bilge filter that seems to be so prolific these days- maybe a more inspired choice of singer/writer next time, instead of the flavour of the month, forgotten by next year artist |

I remember when the Duran Duran one came out and everyone slated it! Same with Aha!
I like Carly Simon, Louis Armstrong and Goldeneye-(performed by Tina Turner but written by U2)
But my favourite has to be From Russia with Love performed by Matt Monro- and the film takes some beating too imo xx |

I absolutely love the camp old James Bond films and theme songs.
My favourites are
Gladys Knight License to Kill
Shirley Bassey Gold Finger
Sheena Easton For Your Eyes Only
Duran Duran View to a Kill (not camp...but SO cool!)
I really dislike the new films...although BF would strongly disagree

Sam Smith's song is very bland and forgettable compared to previous Bond theme tunes, most of which have been brilliant songs.
Skyfall sounded like an iconic Bond theme, but became annoying when it sounded like she was singing "Skyfawwww" - singers should really enunciate! |

I've only heard one play so far & I thought it sounded okay.
I think the Bond songs come 'alive' more when you see the film on the big screen, a glimpse of the storyline being set & then 'bam' the theme kicks in!!

It sounded alright, but not particularly catchy. I feel like I'd need to hear it loads to be able to sing along to it in the car (that's the mark of a good Bond song for me). |

I have heard the New one, by Sam Smith. Don't think it will ever be a classic. Gold Finger, Live and Let Die, are probably my two favourites. |

You can't really compare the two tho.

Well im not sure of my fave but the new one is a crock of shit in fact id go as far as to say its one of the worst songs ive heard. So I cant see this been the first ever bond song to reach number one. |
