"Sounds like I lent him my cheap jeans that shrank in the wash. All a bit y or my liking
My view too, not his best vocals. "
His vocal cords have been destroyed. Hence why he can't sing his old stuff like he use to. It's very common among singers. |

Very Whiney vocals
Just didn't have the same sort of sound you would attribute to a Bond Film. Got high hopes for the film |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
Random ballad, annoying voice, generic "bond" arrangement.
Meh...
I read that he was "appointed" before the song was written, which to me is the wrong way round. They should ask for submissions, then choose the best - taking into account the marketing of the singer, if they must, only at that point. |

"I don't think bond themes should sung by men
that's a bit sexist lol
well he sings it like a girl "
I wasn't going to go there, with something along the lines that he is probably more girl than boy anyway haha |

Melodically - it is very Bond like.
Harmonically - quite simple in construction, with most of the colouring added by the excellent orchestration. song writers always get the credits, however some of the time there is one or more orchestrators in the background putting the meat on the bones of a tune. Orchestrating is a very skilled art, and will often make the difference in a very simple harmonic structured song.
I like his voice, and enjoy the vocal range he has at his disposal.

I don't like it, haven't like any since Duran Duran did 'View to a kill'
I feel the 'Bond song' has been getting a little stale and predictable. I'd have liked to have seen a fresh approach, something edgy or shouty.......something you'd actually listen to and enjoy on its own merits and not because it's a Bond theme. |

Vocal range? He sounds like deflating bagpipes at the best of times. Makes Coldplay sound cheerful! |
