"doubt there are many muslims on here. isn't adultery punishable by stoning according to the koran"
It's amazing that one person can put a nice pleasant comment on, offering best wishes to some people and within one post, there has been an Islamaphobic post.
You don't have to be married to be on here.
Adultery is punishable in most religions, not just Islam - the bible has plenty to say about it.
I'd wish you good day, but I daresay the reply would be:
Good day, but them Muslims don't like it when the weathers like this... |

"Was Yom Kippur this week good times.
Eid Mubarak to those undertaking. "
Happy belated Yom Kippur. You should have put up a post, sounds interesting, I know it's something Jewish but what does it signify? |

The Day of Atonement. People forgive each other for anything they have done wrong, and on Yom Kippur oaths to G-d are forgiven. The price for that is a day of going hungry. |

There's loads lol, including us.
Adultery is punishable by stoning in the bible too. Remember the woman who jesus saved from stoning.

"Just been to get some fruit and noticed a few shops closed, got back in and heard it's Eid. So happy Eid to those celebrating "
Having spent many periods of my life near muslims or in Muslim countries I have come to the conclusion that Islam is just one massive excuse to eat vast quantities of food and spend time with your family.
To the outsider and religious doctrine aside, all the Eid festivals and ramadan degenerate into mass gatherings, eating as much as you can and staying up very late.
Doesn't sound too bad to me... |

I believe there are a few Muslims on here, funny enough they are not shy about it either.
As in the say they are Muslim on their profile, rather than hide it away. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
Eid Mubarak, Yom Kippur and the Pope telling American business/bankers to atone all at the same time.
All three Abrahamic faiths have the same approach to food and sin. There are times of fasting and times of feasting. There are times for celebrating and times for reflecting on your behaviour and seeking forgiveness. They all seem to have some mention of stoning.
Happy Eid Mubarak to those that celebrated.
I hope all those that observed Yom Kippur feel cleansed.

Eid mubarak is the greeting.
Eid Al Adha is the name of the festival and Eid mubarak means "blessed eid" which is similar to saying Merry Christmas or happy easter to a Christian.
When we say happy Eid Mubarak we are effectively saying happy merry Christmas. I got laughed at a good bit the first time I was in Qatar during Eid Al Fitr (the end of Ramadan) for doing that exactly and causing chuckles amongst my Muslim acquaintances.
Eid Al Adha is the end of the 12th month of the Islamic calendar. And as such is the equivalent of Hogmanay. Hangovers all round? |

Discussed with my 27/30 muslim class today "Is the world still good?" We were looking at creation stories across all religions in RE , and they had some sad truths to tell me and some beautiful and hopeful insights to share.
One proud teacher. |
