Well the equinox was yesterday so today will technically be more night than day.

Getting ready to break out the jumpers and hats and break out the crock pot for warming stews.

Bugger.

I love autumn and winter. Get all cosy in baggy jumpers and wrapping up warm when going out!!

I wish I had a house with a real fire and a big squishy oversize armchair to curl up in to read a book.

I try to avoid them when I can. I suffer with gastritis and they affect my stomach despite also taking Lansoprazole every day.

But this time of year I probably couldn't operate without them.

When I go to my parents my main job is chopping logs. Proper man workout. My dad is a cheeky fucker and has been known to take his white van to clumber park with his chainsaw, putbon a hi viz vest and get logs for free...luckily no one has stopped him.

They've been predicting a bad winter since the start of the year.

Lots of snow forecast... Which isn't so bad when you have a 2 week skiing trip planned this year.

If you have the right clothing the winter can be truly magical.

That said I'm bloody freezing right now!

I love getting a new winter coat, probably stems from my childhood. I have seen one in Debenhams I like,it's £120 and I don't think it's waterproof. I might not get much wear out of it this year if it keeps raining.
