I subtract 2 inches from any height measurement given by a man. Until the point when they exceed 6'4" when they are more likely to downplay their height rather than exaggerate it. This rule hasn't failed me for some time |

I'm going to use this too. So many men I've met have been far shorter than their profile would have me believe |

"With a tape measure, I think am about an inch out."
It's really difficult to get an accurate measurement with a tape measure. I used the electronic scales at the leisure centre that measures height and weight |

I met one while I was wearing a 3 inch heel and he was the same height as me. He should have been two inches taller. Some may guess |

But in terms of the actual mechanics, surely the way to measure your height is still to get your mum to draw a pencil mark on the door and measure from that |

Nice to see the ladies not only realise that little men "big" themselves up, but that us taller men do play down our height! Think I subtract an inch from my height as I don't want to sound like a giant. In just happy I'm all in proportion X |

I'm not a giant, only 5'6, but I've felt like a giant next to some |

Probably because there is such a fuss made over the necessity on here for guys to be tall
I am not condoning it but I can see why some guys would do it in arenas such as this
I'm 5ft6 and I see no point in lying about it, cos am as cute as a button with it
It is one thing I cannot change.
I could lose weight, start wearing contacts, shave and all that but at 45, I think I am past growth spurts |

Another thread on here got us thinking about our heights, I've always said I'm about 6' and Clare thought she was 5'2" so we measured each other standing against a door with a level across the top of our heads to draw a line under.
Turns out Clare is 5'2.5" and I'm 6'0.6" so we've been pretty much spot on. Now of to measure my penis that extra 0.6" could make all the difference |

See it's really important to me that someone is taller than me....if I was 5'2 I wouldn't be hung up on height. It's not because I think shorter blokes are intrinsically less attractive. |

"Well I have under sold myself at 5'1 as I am actually 5'1 and a bit.....fab wouldn't let me add 'the bit' "
The last time I was at the nurse I insisted she measured me again as she put me down at 5'4 which I know I am not lol so yes I am 5'1 and a bit still |

"I was told mine at a medical earlier this year, I haven't shrunk since the last one, thank whoever. "
I object to the fact that at medicals they make me take off my cuban heels, but refuse to make an allowance for my really heavy clothes and wallet before calculating my BMI

They like that feeling of control over you, see if you can spot their profiles on here. |

Why say anything other than what you are???
I'm 169cm tall (5'6&7/8th" in old money) but my armspan is 181.5cm so I should have been about 5'11"
Anybody able to beat a +12.5cm ape index (height v armspan)

I just use the measurement the nurse at the doctors wrote down at my last check up.
I don't see the point exagerating or lying, at the end of the day I am who I am. I could probably do with loosing a few more pounds, but generally I have no issue with my measurements (it's not my issue if someone else doesn't like them) |

"Oh yes I've noticed this.
5ft11 appears to be a popular height on here, that'll be 5ft9 then "
No, he'll be 5 ft 8 max.
I'm short but sometimes it's like the Attack of The Fifty Foot Woman (2 film versions) when I meet a guy who's almost 6 feet tall.
I know some people are a little spineless, but do guys shit a vertebra before meets? |
