I fear for England... For the same reason I ask always ask "what does Johnny may actually do?" I ask "what does Brad Barritt do?"

The whole balance of that back line for England just feels wrong... And feel like England have made the changes just to deal with jamie roberts... Barritt and burgess can't create for themselves .... You have 2 12's out there.... Ford hasn't done anything wrong for Farrell ,

You could have played Farrell or slade at 13 and it gives you a whole bunch of options

I like sam burgess a lot... but you are basically asking him in this game to do in effect what basteraud does for france.... that is no mean task..

barritt doesn't create at 12 now, let alone going to 13...and burgess isn't going to attract the defenders at 12 with barritt on his outside...

i would have played slade/farrell at 13 if you were going to play burgess at 12... because it gives you another kicking option other than 9 and 10 to respect.... and means the ball can be spread wider quicker

I agree with you, I was reading an article about burgess today that was detailing how he created space through being a big man and offloading well. But isn't that wales' centres? Plus they create... Mind you all this is a moot point if England's 5 don't step up. Think I'll just stay behind the sofa for this one
