A sport is a pastime that encourages physical prowess, and that includes good and darts etc.
Chess and bridge encourage mental prowess and so are not sports |

I know a few bodybuilders and without doubt it is a sport that demands commitment more than pretty much any other sport.
Sport is anything physical and competitive

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
Anything that requires a judge to award points /decide the winner - not a sport.
Anything that is measured in observable "scores" - could be a sport.
So billiards is a sport, gymnastics is not. Bowling is a sport, diving is not.

I personally think a sport has to involve physical exertion and be a benefit to health to quantify itself. Bridge is a card game and where does the exertion or health benefits come into play???
Saying that uk sport y lists angling (really????) and model aeroplane flying as a sport so who knows???? |

A sport is a physical or skilful activity or a pastime that you compete at as an individual against others or as a team.
So if a pastime defines a sport then yeah darts, bridge etc etc is classed as a sport. |
