Why should it be offered and if it is offered why should it be offered to you?
Let's take something trivial there is one slice of cake left no one seems to want it so you say
"does anyone mind if I have the last piece of cake"
and they say
"no not a problem at all have at it old bean" (through politeness or they are simply stuffed full of cake already)
You asked you got.
But in this highly complicated trivial matter where there is one item but several persons who may want it how would you offer it?
One by one?
As a whole and first to speak gets it?
A bidding process?

I deserve everything handed to me on a silver platter, free of charge. My every wish and desire attended to immediately without thought or question. I am to be served like a god.
But then I woke up and realised I was still a peasant living in the real world and have to go do real world things for myself unfortunately |
