I often use this!! Sometimes I just don't want to chat and faff about texting back and forth, so just easier to say sleepy time!
I've been asleep for most of the weekend being on night shifts so not seen anyone to lie to them... So honestly can't remember what my last lie was  |

Because it's easier. If the place is shit enough to serve crap food (which has been seen by kitchen and floor staff before it reaches you) why would they care or be able to rectify the problem.
