Think I got mine from Argos was a tenner.

A small one is ok for two people, if you want to feed a family get a big one

I have a morphy Richards sear n stew. It's pretty good as you can sear meat directly on the hob with it first. It's only a cheap bowl though so can't see it lasting more than a couple of years. But it hasn't disappointed yet!

Mine is Morphy Richards, it has two compartments rather than just one big one, so you can cook two different meals at the same time. Handy if you're only cooking for one or two people.

I got mine as a present a few years ago and love it.

I'm sure any initial cost is outweighed by the benefits.

The cooksworks range from argos are brill. Although the first one i got i for some reason assumed u put water in it. Yes.... inbetween the dish and the element! I heard alot of popping and sizzling and then it died.

Have since worked out how to use it, and mine is now going strong after 5 years and gets used a few times a week. Mine is a 6litre one for 20quid.

Chilli con carne done in it is lush, uncooked rice......it sinks to the bottom and soaks up the juice and is just the best thing ever, rice tastes just divine.

(Thats now what im doinv for tea tomorrow)

Ooh, that sounds lush - do you leave the rice in the same length of time as the meat?

Mostly in GU24

My husband gave me one for Christmas one year. I was unimpressed. We'd only been together for a couple of years. Things didn't get better; he now gives me nothing.

No. I do the chilli part and leave it for a few hours all simmering away then mix tomato puree, boiling water, chilli powder in a jug (depends how many im doing it for) 1-1 &1/2 pint as the rice needs to soak it up then leave it about 45-1hr.

Sure people have there own way of doing it tho, but the rice does taste divine.

I love mine, a timer is a big advantage, or a timer plug. It is my favourite toy in the kitchen.

As someone posted earlier, get the right size.

If its your favourite toy in the kitchen may I suggest bringing your boudoir accessories downstairs? Or do you mean kitchen utensil

And getting the right size is important for both
