I've got ten kilos of damsons to contend with! And a couple of kilos of plums. I'm also making lemon curd, rhubarb cordial, green bean chutney and red grapefruit marmalade.
The yarn is to finish a Christmas present I'm making which is a chunky poncho. Btw the thing about the damson and plum pits works on any stone fruit and it's something to do with specific density or gravity or something once the sugars added - not having to stone cherries is worth the jam pan facial! | |||

Nope, I've got two sales to do over the weekend. I'm jamming and chutneying today. Fortunately I don't need to pit them, the pits float when the sugar is added so I just go fishing for them

Btw the thing about the damson and plum pits works on any stone fruit and it's something to do with specific density or gravity or something once the sugars added - not having to stone cherries is worth the jam pan facial! There are several islands in Siberia that bear Bennett's name.
