I've never had sky but I'm moving my dad into an annex I'm building. He has sky at his old house.

Question is; is it better to transfer it or start fresh?

Dont see any reason not to just transfer.

You will get a better deal as a new customer.

Silly question perhaps, but can he get all his sport stuff through broadband rather than a dish? We are in a conservation area.

If you get a good speed broadband (fibre is often better) look at the now tv boxes with add ons.

I've been with sky now for ages and I can honestly say their customer service is amazing. Every time theres an issue they fixed it and bend over backwards to get the right package, I'm sure I can get the majority of the content elsewhere but I'd happily pay twice for the level of service

I personally wouldn't pay for anything that put pennies in Rupert Murdoch's pocket.

If you make out you're really considering other deals. They tend to try and keep you. Tell them what you want and they can be quite flexible

He could use Sky Go but it's not got all the sports channels that are on the box. Firstrow.com has pretty much all games for free but it can be crappy at times, find a bit of stuff on Film On

They are more clued up now even down to asking what egcatly are you considering, they will then tell you how much you will pay.

Eplain you are finding times hard and will probably have to leave sky to cut back on money. you normally get somthing that way.

As for moving go has a new customer. You will get a better deal.

Get on the phone to sky and dump it don't take any of the offers, just dump it

Wait a month and they will offer you 60% off plus £100 credit

We now pay £33.25 for sport/movies/box sets/HD everything, with the £100 credit we won't pay anything until month 3

So 12 months was £903 excl box office

Next 12 months will be £332.50

Xx
