I cant get in my shed to get to the lawn mower out to cut the grass,because...wait for it..A Kestrel has got in, made a nest and laid 4 eggs.I rang the powers that be and ive been told I cant disturb them till they hatched and left . Anyone fancy mowing my lawn

Glad you're a good person, some wouldn't care, if I lived closer I would gladly do your lawn as a return gesture, but I could be only saying that because I'm so far away.

Hens will eat the grass, by the time the kestrels? (on my phone can't see previous posts) have fledged, the hens will be gone and you will be able to get into the shed.

Being a birdwatcher I know a nesting pair of kestrels nesting this late is quite Unusual I,ve not looked that up but I,m sure its some kind of record as Birds of prey would normally lay in spring or early summer even if its a Replacement clutch so yes its very Interesting to know these kestrels Have nested this late, I,ll have to Look up this you must have a big shed For them to nest in high roof at Least, give them space keep away from The shed as much as you can let them see you from a distance if you can, I do hope your birds are successful keep In touch and let us know how they get on, do you live out in the open fields Etc ?
