I have recently downloaded this free upgrade and now the Kaspersky internet security I had has vanished.

Anyone know why ?

Most likely you had an incompatible version installed and Windows 10 prevented it from running.

I think 2015 version is compatible.

Forget it. Get avast is my advice. Free and wont slow your machine down. Of course some will come on and say it's crap but ive used it for years and am happy with it.

Sometimes on installing new os you have to reinstall some programs. It is an annoyance, but sometimes the new os just doesn't know to look for certain files in certain places sometimes

Avast is good, better than kaspersky according to several reviews including pcmag, panda unlimited free trial period is also good, and the stock windows antivirus was one of the highest scorers across the board

The kaspersky Web site offers downloads but you have to pay.

I have previously paid but It don't say how I can download and renew an existing license ?

Contact them then, preferably providing a picture of proof of purchase, requesting a free download to continue the license. Unless there's some form of extract in the contract to say it expires on the installation of a new os (which some do, Norton being a prime example) then it remains a valid license for your computer

Central

Your license code may work with more recent versions, as earlier versions were - as with yourself - limited or not compatible.

You could download a trial option of the latest version and try your license code in it. You'd need to uninstall your old one first but ensure you keep your license details.

There are support areas in Kaspersky too, where staff and others will help.
