Jools and I have been together since 1986 in that time she has had the flu once, maybe three colds and the odd sore throat.

She has the immune system of a alligator.

I on the other hand seem to be unwell pretty much every month.

Are you one of the lucky ones who never get anything and then over it with 24 hrs.

Or are you a wus like me?

Healthy as a horse! Except for my lungs which are my achilles heel- so a bad cough/ cold gets me about twice a year

"I'm sick of people who never get sick "

Honestly I have the immune system of a premature baby.

I get everything, someone sneezes Pow!

I have the a cold.

Diet is excellent

Exercise gym 4/5 day's a week.

Don't smoke

Am scrupulously clean.

Yet I seem to be a bug magnet.

I would define myself as pretty robust in that I perceive everyday ailments as something to be silently endured rather than vocally heralded as lame excuses for lowering my behavioural ability.

Yeah you heard me .... this tranny is tough as fuk....

I was sick quite often as a child, but I tend to not get sick often, anymore. But when I am sick, it is a nightmare.

Been at this job since beginning of Feb last year and had 1 day off sick last year with a migrane I just couldn't shake other than that, all good here apart from the occasional sniffle

Rarely ill. From the age of 6 I never had a day off school nor a day off work ill. Got food poisoning once. Get a heavy cold about once every four or five years, rest of the time they disappear very quickly.

never sick here! i firmly believe that our society is too clean and too hot! our houses are heated to about 12 degrees hotter than 20 years ago, and though basic hygeine is sensible, covering every inch of your house with antibacterials is downright stupid.....and no, i havent been reading this mornings daily mail...

The trouble is... If your never sick, when you do actually get sick, will your body know what to do?

I've never been really ill until this year, got diagnosed with chronic migraines earlier this year.

Also got diagnosed with Crohn's yesterday which has really pissed me off to be honest

Other than that I'm perfectly fine.

I rarely get sick, I think it's because I'm relied upon too much, so if I'm down, things will fall apart, so it could be psychosomatic . Maybe an Echinacea infusion every morning has something to do with it too.

Brighton - even Hove!

I hadn't been ill for years but 2 years ago got flu and it seemed to last for months all winter. Nothing since exempt a couple of minor colds.

Last time I thought I had a cold was 5 years ago. But it was viral meningitis with a secondary blood borne bacterial infection. Notging to recommend that at all.

I only took 2 days off with cancer. Had a thurs/fri off and was back in on pt first thing monday morning with a chunk cut out of my back. Passed my fitness test the week after still with stitches in...

3 weeks last January with vertigo. Never had it before and never want it again. Everything constantly spinning, couldn't lay down in bed, at its worst I was bumping into walls and had to crawl about to get around the house. Apart from that I think I had a day or 2 off when I had a tooth pulled a few years back an that's it since I left college at 19.

I got glandular fever when I was in my early 20s and it floored me for 6 months.

Ever since then my immune system is buggered and I get everything going.

Currently in bed with cold & flu symptoms

My stuff is minor and colds and flu don't really surface. Headaches are about it but lack of rest etc can bring them on, so it's not really sickness.

"I haven't had a day off sick in over twenty years. "

I'm the same. I can honestly say, I've NEVER had a day off sick ever.... not even from school as a child. I'm almost never sick but on the rare occasions that i am, I do it on my own time

Are we talking about sick or ill, there is a difference.

Imagine a little boy who professes to be ill. Is he pretending to be sick, or is he really ill?

Think on you parents, just whack 'em round the ear and say "Get to school you scallywag" just like they did in my day...
