whilst watching a programme about Longleat on the good old beeb today i was amused to see that they bleeped out the word bastard but kept in the word fucking!
to me it should poddibly have been the other way round (although it was after 9pm so either word was fine to air).
how do swear words rank with you? Personally i dont swear on front of my parents or grandparent and never in front of young people however i swear like a sailor around friends |

Fucking is far worse & a lot of young teenagers still awake at that time (although they probably use it more than we do!!) I'm sure it's a repeat or maybe a 2nd series. Nice to see Lord Bath has an open marriage |

There's only one word I consider to be a swear word. Even then I think it's perfectly acceptable to use it in the correct context.
People get their knickers bent out of shape over swearing but I consider it to be a valid use of the English language. |

I can't swear in front of my parents and if my kids in front of me then I would be shocked, my old neighbours kids used to all the time!!
Personally I find the word cunt really bad but just lately I've been using it a lot!! Lol |

"None of the words bother me but context, location and situation do.
I hate people indiscriminately swearing in the street around children and people they don't know.
"
I do swear a bit on here and happy to be pulled up on it. Otherwise I dislike it, as LS highlights it. |

Swearing doesn't bother me at all. I consider that type of censorship to be paternalistic and useless.
The only place I think swearing is inappropriate and don't use it is work. Everywhere else is fair game.
