We are heading to Manchester for an over night stay on the 17 of October for Thumper birthday. Was just wondering which are the really good pubs and clubs on Canal Street pls

Via on canal street is a great bar. For a good restruant I'd try villagio again on canal street, church ills on canal street can be fun too or behind canal street on bloom street try centre stage or New York New York , to be honest your spoil for choice in the villiage just wander around and have funnnnnn

'The Village' has lost its way a little IMHO.

It is now full of hens and stags and gypsies hawking cheap shite.

There are still some good bars though

Taurus and Velvet do good food too if you need a Sunday lunch to soak up the Saturday night.

If you fancy a few cocktails with a difference, try The Alchemist on New York Street, just round the corner from Canal Street
