recently I've been in...in depth discussions with various people about various things and when I've sent my face pic (normally private) they reply with "eww I hate beards sorry" or a variation on that, and usually blocked. my Queston - is it the goatee or in my later years have I become duck ugly? I know everyone gets turned down but i'm just curious if its people being polite. I've put the pic public for the morning, do I really need to shave?

If you've been in deep discussion about various things (rather than as a prelude to a meet) I'm surprised if they would suddenly stop the chat and block you on the basis of a single pic especially if it is happening multiple times?
Is it something you're saying rather than the way you look? I'm no expert on these things but you look ok (for a guy!) to me so I'm sure there must be more to it?
Anyway, good luck I hope it all works out and you and you have veris so obviously you're doing something right |

Add it to your profile that you have a goatee so those averse to facial hair will know.
Perhaps also look at what you're saying as it seems odd that conversation just stops with you. I only play with sub men and some of the things they've disclosed have made me go  and put an end to the conversation. |

I like the Justin Hawkins idea. I might dig out a photo of me without the beard, maybe i'm just used to seeing me with one because it just looks weird to me without.
yes, I may mention on my profile that i'm shaved downstairs but not upstairs.
thanks for the replies, I was just curious, blocking seemed a bit much if it was just down to a bit of hair... |

Maybe if you stated clearly on your profile of your hirsuteness then there'd be less chance of misunderstanding ?
