Going under the knife, always think I may not wake up from it. Going to the docs for something minor and being told you have something major and only have a small time left to live. |

I was scared about this for the first time recently, despite having had several operations. I ended up having a few transfusions and being taken back in to fix 2 severe bleeds, so I guess it was justified in retrospect.
My only fears are health related, and dying prematurely. Or ending up completely alone. |

I take medication that helps with my fears. Without it I would cry at the sighting of a spider, never go on a bus or in a car going over 20 mph and be terrified of thunder and lightning. I can just about manage at the moment. Phobias can be life destroying. |

Yes phobias are in a completely different league to fears. Xx |

Quite a lot of things scare me. Crossing a road, for example, due to a bad experience as a kid. I still cross roads though. Phobia wise I only have one and it's a particular piece of music. Odd, but I understand why and I don't accidentally hear it very often so I cope. |

I never used to be scared of anything, apart from social interaction (aspie), but since having children I seem to have developed a lot of fears. Oddly, I only experience physical responses rather than emotional. For example, if one of my boys has a bad cut or graze and I look at it, I get this ripple of intense sensitivity all over my skin, like a wave of pain similar to how your skin feels when you have flu. Or if I go up something very high my legs tremble but I don't feel afraid. It's very strange. |

I have a few fears - spiders, wasps, clowns and the likes but I just don't like them and will steer clear of them.
However I have A major phobia of moths, they absolutely terrify me and I have ended up hospitalised because of panic attacks as a result of them. Even seeing a picture of one sends my heart rate sky high.
Also I don't dislike heights but I do suffer awful vertigo. It was never a problem until one of our kids ran ahead of us in a castle turret aged 3 and when I caught up with her her leg and foot was hanging out of one of those tiny windows! There was no way really she was going to fall the 5 stories but grabbing her and looking down through that window made me really poorly and ever since I cannot bare it! I cannot look down, I get sickness, dizziness and the shakes!

I can absolutely relate to that "intense sensitivity" wave feeling. I've had a fair few of those moments before. Xx |

"Mine are birds & ducks ... Well anything that has wings .... Has me screaming & running for the hills "
Ducks are birds.
This reminded of a funny to me anyway story.
Myself and some friends were at the park and feeding the ducks amd swans.
A couple.of the bolder ducks came waddling over and my friend was twasing one by pulling the bread away from it before it could grab it. The dick was jumping up amd down trying to get the bread, she shouted "Look, Look.. ducks can jump!"
I said, "You think thats good, wait til you see them fly..."

"Pitch darkness. You'll never get me in a dark room at a club.
Ditto. I hate the dark more than anything. I even have a torch in my bag "
I don't mind the sort of dark you get at night, but absolutely no light at all gives me the creeps, and dark-rooms in clubs will have me running for the door. Brr! |
