I notice the thread quietened, serious mode enabled, if you know what music the people at the party are most likely to respond to, make a playlist of their favourite artists.

If you have an idea of food and drink preferences, allergies etc, tailor what you provide to ensure something for everyone.

Rule no 1: while you may not please everyone, they'll appreciate the effort of taking the time to know what they like and making them feel included
