Should I claim a refund?!

evesham

I rent a flat off my dad and included in the (very reasonable rent) is the cost of cleaners who come in every 2 weeks.

They should have come this week but as my dad is away on holiday I guess he cancelled them as my flat wasn't cleaned on Tuesday (the flat is attached to his house so they go right through).

Now.....considering I only pay 'rent' and no other bills should I claim a refund for the cleaners not turning up and not being informed of this or just suck it up and flick a hoover round?!

(lighthearted thread BTW,I know what I'm going to do!)

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

Put up a meet request for a man to come and hoover naked...

Sue your dad for breaching your agreement!

Only joking. Whilst obviously I don't know your dad, I think it is fair to say if you are getting a good deal already then perhaps don't upset that. You might end up paying more money.

If you don't pay bills then you're already getting a good deal so no I wouldn't mention it as it sounds like a one off.

Surely your only talking about £20???

Point Nemo, Cumbria

Hire in a troop of buff cleaners to give the place (and you) a good seeing to then send the invoice to your dad - and recommend them in place of the old lot.

Deduct it from next months rent and give him a bit bag of all the dust and rubbish you clean away now,

Heard a horses head makes a good statement too,

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Leave it until they come again and make them really work for their money.
