hair colour you regret

Have you ever coloured your hair then woke up the next day and hated it?

I normally have blonde highlights but yesterday decided on a full head of bleach blonde. Thought it was good idea, but woke up this morning hating it. I realise it is way way too light. Now I want to go darker blonde

Had blonde chunks when a teen. Also had purple hair for a bit, and later had various colour highlights. Guess it looked alright as I was kinda punk-ish.

Now I stick to my natural dark brown colour, wouldn't dream of doing anything extreme. Wouldn't go down well at client meetings

When I was in my 30's and more hair, I dyed mine red, just didn't suit me at all, prefered the blonde highlights

I've never dyed my hair.

However, when I was younger I really wanted to straighten my dark brown hair, and then color just the tips blue, like a vivid blue, in an even line across the bottom.

My parents wouldn't let me. And I think to this day I regret not just saying fuck it and doing it.

Being a hairdresser i've had pretty much every colour imaginable. My favourite was probably candy pink, followed by the white blonde I had last summer.

My least favourite was blue black. I'd done it when I was younger and loved it, turns out that once I hit 25 I couldn't get away with such a dark colour. Skin tones change!

Most colours still suit me though. I'm a bit of a chameleon.

Only time I regretted colouring my mop was when dyed the last 4 inches bright red.

It wasnt the colour that was the problem, but the dye weakened my hair and I lost about 2-3 inches.

So I've gone back to my prefered natural dyes (yup plural, I tend to have multi coloured hair), and accept that the red isn't shockingly bright.

I've had every colour under the sun, currently have bright pink and purple hair. The only one I've ever regretted was pure black as it took ages to bring back to normal.

My Dad's wife once managed to convince me to let her give me blue streiks when I was about 9. It was a two-in-one bleach and colour and I ended up with streiks of DEAD GINGER hair (and all on the top).

My Mum went ballistic, not only because of what she'd done, but because school wouldn't let me attend until they had been dyed over - which took a few weeks as the hair was dead and you could still see it.

Later found out she'd bought the blue streik stuff from the pound shop with the intention of using iton her hair but decided to "test" it on me. Bitch...

I was platinum blonde as a kid, and by my teens it was dark blonde/light brown. Decided to change it back to a slightly lighter colour. Had to bleach it first then darken it slightly. It ended up ginger. Didn't bother me, but people thought it was hilarious. Got a number two cut about a month after.

Many years ago I tried to dye my brown hair blond which turned out Orange ~ then dried to re dye it back to brown resulting in a weird shade of browny green

cost me a fortune to have it out right in the hair salon.
