When I joined the site many-many years ago I decided that I would not block anyone no matter how tempted I became....... but having now relaxed my no blocking policy I find blocking does make life on here much easier and more pleasant and it doesn't hinder success,,,,,

My block list is thousands long. Anyone who messages me that's not my type, i block them. Means we don't waste each others time.

Block all over the place and am guilty of blocking by accident more often than not. Times I look at a forumite and find they are blocked for no good reason than my fat digits.

There's no button to show who's block list you're on.

Only way is to try browsing a profile etc

I am trigger happy - especially from my single profile as I don't want certain types to seek me out there ... anyone I don't have the inclination to meet, anyone who is opinionated etc etc (not including myself, of course)

I concur. Every now and then I come across one I'd forgotten I wrote and have to figure out what incensed me so much at the time. Blocking tends to be reserved for those who don't take no for an answer; I like to see it as saving their time from messaging me again when it will lead nowhere.

I do use it, but it doesn't tend to be for cuntishness, more for persistent messengers after I've already replied with a no thanks. Just saves everyone's time, it's not supposed to be an insult of any kind.

Does it come up as profile hidden or does the profile actually say you,ve been blocked by user ?

Lol never blocked anyone myself but there's some who do block for the strangest reasons,

Been block tonight from a lovely person who I've been chatting to for well over a week, we arranged to meet up this Thursday at 9, oh and they asked for the meet, then tonight I get a message saying they've had enough of my vile language !!!! Wtf,, i read all the messages I sent back and couldn't find one ounce of vileness there at all, not one sware word, not one nasty remark, not one vile reference to any bodily function or part, so I try to respond to say sorry but I'm not aware of any vileness but hey presto blocked lol

Think sorry, but I've changed my mind about a meet, hope this is ok with you, is a much better message to send and keep the finger off the blocked button because they most certainly wouldn't of got any nasty rant back at all, just a no probs, i totally understand,

But now we have the grand sum of two blocks that won't be lifted.

I've blocked a few when I first joined, recently noticed I've been blocked by people from other towns who I've never even spoken too before, dunno what I done to upset them

I use blocking as a filter.

If women are kind enough to reply with a 'no thanks' I ask them if they would like me to block them to stop me contacting them again.

I also block people who's profiles I have looked at but do not find attractive.

It just saves me from wasting my time.

Will block if their profile says they're not looking for black, or not interested in bi, or if been abusive,or if repeatedly message me after 'no thanks'. Or if they have ridiculous rants on the forums...
