When responding to threads do you only interact with those who agree with you, who you find attractive or who you hope to meet?
I admit that there are one or two I won't interact with because we rub each other up the wrong way (and I'm sure the feelongs mutal)but apart from that I enjoy the general chat and banter. |

Awww...
I'll talk to anyone. I struggle with one or two but better to avoid than interact... my life is too short to get my knickers twisted over bigots. |

I have no intentional posting pattern ..... I contribute where and when the fancy takes me..... I don't seek approval for my input....
Defending my opinions or attacking those of other posters is not my primary motive for being here......
I simply enjoy environments where enthusiastic thought-exchange takes place with or without my contribution... |

Typically anyone - it's usually the topic of the post that interest me yet. Of course, I'll probably be a bit flirtatious in my messages to women or couples, but it's just a comment & I don't discriminate.
However, I think I'm sometimes a chronic thread-killer. Sometimes cover all the points and leave nothing for anyone else to say D: |

I try and do this. There are people I think are dicks, and on occasion I will offer them a little rope just so I can confirm that they are still dicks
But mostly it's just chit chat with no agenda or intention |

I'll interact with anybody if there's something I feel like commenting on. Only things I do ignore completely are compliments because they go through me, find them cringey. |

i just dont think people are anything but being themselves..sometimes i host the nocturnal thread so of course thats the intention for everyone to have a good time while they are awake for whatever reason. ill be helpful if the person seems as if they are asking for genuine help..but some of the banter on here is priceless x |

None of the above. I comment on posts I agree or disagree with, depending on the subject. I agree with people on some subjects and disagree on others. I don't use the forums for meets so I just comment on the text, not aimed at the person that posted it. |

I've been doing these forums for nigh on 6 years. I started off trying to pull. Agreeing with any attractive woman to win their favour.
Over the years and the repetitive nature of most posts I simply speak my mind, and have a little laugh in the process.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I wouldn't judge someone for not agreeing with me, or my beliefs. Some people do but each to their own. |

I tend to respond to the post not the poster. I just post on whatever catches my eye.
Certain posters have ignored me and answered everyone else on the thread before but I'm not arsed tbh. I just go along in my own little world.

The problem with this medium is that, as much as t'internet is a powerful too for bringing people together it also creates barriers.
I believe the medium:-
* creates group think
* promotes hysteria
* gives undue weight to all 'opinions'
Just a thought. |

I'm thinking of that silly woman who put some crass comment on her FaceBook page about some tragedy, which was then shared by a horrified friend and went viral while she was on a plane to South Africa.
While she was in the air her life was destroyed - her job was rescinded, her friends and family shunned her - and she was completely unaware until the plane touched down and her phone started ringing.
It was one stupid comment.
And her life was destroyed.

The risks are so worrying, anyone can take any pic apply any message and post it. The facebook users won't waste anytime clarifying or even reading any article, the caption is all the information required for the activity to start, as you say it can destroy so much from a minimal or even falsely accused action

I guess most would recognise me, most also pass me by...not sure they would recognise me from my posts as that changes depending on my mood.....i can be most unforgiving and intolerant when I'm in a bad mood yet quite jokey when I'm in a good mood.....i have a feeling that no one either notices nor cares as it's an internet forum....so I shall continue about my merry way |

I like to see a full range of opinions and will respond to any. I tend to study the opinions of people I like or admire more than other random ones, but any thought provoking posts are great to ponder upon.
Probably more inclined to respond to reasoned posts rather than shouty rants or exclamations though. |

Also I have direct experience of this on Twitter. I was naive enough to disagree with a minor celebrity, I eventually just blocked them and their followers because the abuse I received from this person's fans was staggering. I would have been less shocked if I'd disagreed aggressively or rudely but even then the storm of outrage was as you say, hysterical. |

I probably go the other way and gloss over posts that are agreeing with me and respond to those which disagree. Generally because I think they're wrong, so want to dig deeper to get them to explain further (or I'm just being argumentative). |

Why should you be silent? We have freedom of speech in this country so use that right. Considering about 1% of the whole population of fab use the forum, I certainly won't lose any sleep if a few forum users don't like me because of my opinions. In fact sometimes people who have agreed with me have then got to know those people and it has led to meets. |

No, I'll respond to any comment that catches my eye, whether that's in interest, humour, disbelief etc.
Sometimes I'll agree with certain posters and on other topics, I won't.
If I revisit a thread and see that someone has quoted me, I'll usually reply if its directed at me.
Yes there are some posters who tend to stand out more to me than others. Some for positive reasons and some that simply rub me up the wrong way. I'd imagine that's the case for most people.

I endeavour to answer the same to male, female and couples & that is usually the thing I think about the most.
and being consistent with the answers.
I don't meet from the forums so there is no-one that I will answer in a different way based on that. I don't avoid posters but there are threads that are opened more from certain people that don't interest me, they are not bad people just the subjects they like are of zero interest to me. |

It's the thread that draws me in, not the person.
I contribute because I want to, not for an ulterior motive.
If it's a thread I feel I can contribute to, I'm in, advice, support, humour or a good debate.
There's a few subjects close to my heart that I'm passionate about so I'll probably share my tuppenceworth.
Mostly enjoy the banter and fun.
Must admit to hitting the block button within the forums a couple of times, I know it's happened to me as well.
I've not lost sleep yet....

I wouldn't say I'm a regular as such as I go through stages of posting for a bit and then not at all for weeks/months on end.

I'm a regular every so often I think but I appear and don't know lots of people and lots of the people I did know are gone. I stay a couple of months then I go back to reality and don't login for another few months and the pattern continues. I don't actually care how other people see me. I just turn up, attempt to be kind and decent and then leave when it bores me. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I used to respond to everyone. Now if I know someone has blocked me I don't comment or respond to avoid being accused of trying to communicate with them. Of course I am blocked by some that I don't know about.
Otherwise it tends to be avoiding some comments rather than particular people.

"All who've posted here, those that haven't too , would you consider yourselves to be forum regulars as in most people who are on here regularly will know who you are and recognise you from your posts?"
Yes, I'm a regular. Too regular at times.
I also like to play 'spot the returning regular' when people leave and come back with a new name, new avatar but the same writing style and opinions.

I've only been participating in the forums for a short while compared to lots of the members, although I contribute regularly.
I suspect lots of people see me contributing and run for the hills, I've murdered more threads than I care to count. |

I don't use the forum to get meets but it has got me them. Have had little luck messaging directly. |

I admit that there are one or two I won't interact with because we rub each other up the wrong way (and I'm sure the feelongs mutal)but apart from that I enjoy the general chat and banter."
I'll reply to anyone with boobs. Lol.
No really, I look for good banter when I occasionally enter the forums |

Let's try that again from my profile rather than his!
I mostly just read and don't respond as I feel there isn't a lot of interraction between posters anyway. I used to feel I was ignored, as others has said they feel, but then I paid more attention and noticed most people just say their own bit and don't interact with others like they would in a real conversation. The realisation was good and bad, I'm not particularly ignored but it's sad there isn't more conversation going on.
To answer the second question no I don't feel I'm a regular face on the forum, even though I sign in most days and have a wee read. I'd be surprised if I was remembered. |

I tend respond to the post as opposed to the poster. I've learnt the hard way not to get into a disagreement when feeling emotional & walking away is the best option.
I don't tend to post on political threads or ones that I feel I'm not an intellectual match for.
Would say I am a fairly regular poster albeit in the background.

Depends on my mood.
If I am feeling a bit grouchy, it's better I don't respond to some threads
If I am full of the joys, then any thread or contributor is fair game |

If anything I'm more likely to post if I disagree with something. It matters not whether or not I find someone attractive, more whether I feel I have something to add.
My main problem is coming back to threads and finding them either full, or disappeared!

Good evening.
I have no set pattern of response.
I'd say i'm more sporadic than regular.
I respond to anyone.
I don't take offence at the offence takers.
I don't respond to those that haven't yet learned to put forward a point of _iew without making personal attacks.
I don't fancy anone.
There are a few people whose responses I enjoy and value. |

Pretty much the same approach to when I (he) drive. Don't let other drivers annoy you by totally avoiding eye contact, ie, avoid confrontation/disagreements and post accordingly. Accept they'll be those you don't have the time of day for so just ignore, make a note if you feel you need reminding later why they annoy you, lol, but all in all don't hold grudges as some you find annoying may just surprise you and you find you later like what they say on more than the odd occasion. Don't be offended by others who disagree either you might and will learn something, it's fun around here being like this and responding as such. |

I'm happy to listen and interact with pretty much everyone. I've come to blows with some people... and maybe they make their mind up about me from that... but I tend to forgive and forget where I can. I simply assume that I don't really know them as a person... only as an online forum persona... and that if we met we'd probably get on ok and realise we weren't really as bad as we thought we were... and that tends to help me move on... it also helps that I don't really take this forum all that seriously
When people are clearly pissed off with me I tend to steer clear until they show signs of chilling a bit. It is supposed to be fun after all |

I comment if I agree/disagree/amused regardless. I don't look at who the commentator is.
There are threads I don't open, nocturnal roll call, good morning etc because I think they're pants regardless of who starts them. |
