ISIS fighters posing as ninjas

There's a little bit of unfinished business from that awful thread about ISIS fighters posing as refugees. For some people the fear of ISIS seems to rest around whether or not their fighters get swimming lessons so that they don't drown when refugee boats go down.

There was absolutely no evidence for this so people trolled up vile images of ISIS prisoners being drowned in a pool. So in a spurt of immensely insane illogicality they say that proves that ISIS fighters can have swimming lessons in the same or similar pools and therefore must get them so that they can be smuggled over to Greece on rickety boats, swimming ashore if necessary then to be smuggled across multiple borders and invade our country - obviously by swimming the channel if necessary????

If that's the strength of their military strategy then God knows how they are doing so well in their stupid war.

Now part of that was my fault for asking for proof. But none of the bullshit nastiness about killing and torturing prisoners proved anything about ISIS training.

I apologise to Guardian readers for using the Daily Mail as a source but I'm sure that your bleeding hearts can understand the need to do good to UKIP man and quote source that he can understand and love.

There's a lot of highly criticised and mocked abseiling (by the Mail), superfluous somersaults and ninja hand waving but no sign of breast stroke, crawl, backstroke or any other form of stroke. No sign of a pool either.

That would be it's got nothing to do with training their ninja warriors - terrorists rely on terror. They attack where they want and when they aren't expected and they know that causes maximum fear and they control the agenda of fear.

Tbh the main difficulty would be getting the material needed for a attack and practice which may or may not be needed.

Isis could afford a decent boat that's not over crowded too.

For me its not fear but being realistic.

Isis fighters are a set a seriously fucked up mentalists, who think nothing of beheading and burning alive victims. So yes they need to be taken serious as a threat, like has been said a "lone wolf" can cause serious damage.

Isis are a problem and problems don't stay in one place.

And to be honest you come across as taking the piss, and taking the piss out of something that has cost plenty of lives in horrific ways is pretty shitty in my opinion.

That's your view and your welcome to it. If you read what I actually said you'd find I'm dead serious about the risks of ISIS and have no doubt about how evil they are. But in all honesty some of the illogical crap that gets ranted on here deserves to have the piss taken out of it.

You're entitled to think that just as I'm entitled to think that showing pictures of people being tortured to death did nothing to prove your point. It proved a completely different point that we all already know - ISIS are vile and evil people, but not some stupid, irrelevant and illogical point about whether or not ISIS fighters are trained swimmers.

Ironicilly you now use the same tactic to discredit a quote that wasn;t actually taken from The Guardian by making an incredibly tenuous link in order to discredit all socialists.

A hypocrite is a person who pretends to have certain beliefs, attitudes or feelings when they really do not. What aspect of looking at what you suggested people should look at was hypocritical?

The feelings I expressed were disgust with ISIS. I also didn't believe that your use of that example had anything to do with the point (remember swimming training). You were trying to use a highly emotive image to prove something completely irrelevant to it.

One person believes that ISIS have highly trained swimmers on refugee boats so that they can swim ashore when the boats sink. He has no evidence for that other than repeating it often. Someone else offered images of people being drowned in a pool by ISIS as evidence that ISIS had swimming pools and therefore could use them to train the swimmers in the refugee boats.

On the one hand I'm all for that provided they get murderous scum, on the other none of our interference in the middle east has ever produced a good result because our politicians have absolutely no idea how to get a stable peace after they've killed thousands of people .

Nothing to do with this argument that's going on but that drowning video wasn't a swimming pool it was a lake and it was a cage with 4 men inside which was submerged by a crane with underwater cameras showing them drowning then the crane lifting the cage back out once they'd died. The same day that video came out they had two prisoners in a car and fired a missile at it and also had 15 men cha nines together with explosives round their necks and detonated it the same time.

Again nothing to do with this argument, just wanted to say it wasn't a swimming pool it was just a random lake they used to drown those poor men, I've seen the video.

Someone else (me) said in other kinder words, that's a load of bollocks if ISIS wanted to come they wouldn't come in the main from where the security services were looking.

After that various accusations of immaturity, hypocrisy, taking the piss, immaturity and Ovaltine deficiency came along to cloud the issue.

I've no need to give any version of events. As I said it's all on the other thread for people to read and make up their own minds. Besides I'm in a good mood, just heard on the news the government has lost the vote on the purdah rules for the EU referendum. Camerons plan to rig the vote in the EU's favour is failing spectacularly. Another victory for the euro sceptics this night just gets better.

Morbid curiosity, also when I take my breaks in work it's me and 9 other men, they'll watch it and say I don't have the stomach for it, I work in a predominantly macho male environment (male prison) I watch it with everyone else even though I feel like a piece of my soul is taken when I do.

What swimming pools do you swim in butt cos that one was outside, had reeds in it and grass surrounding it and a crane on the banking.

Ah wandering off topic again and getting more and more confused. In the last thread you were pro tory and getting rid of human rights legislation , now you're anti tory and back in UKIP party homeland. It's good to see you back to your usual happy but confused state. So good for you, enjoy it even if you can't remember what your earlier position was. Don't let that worry you it often happens as you get older.

it has brick and mortor walls. the reeds are in the garden. I imagin they brought there own crane. I've just watched it 2 mins ago.

In case you hadn't been keeping up on current events the tories are split on the EU. There are many euro sceptic tories who want Britain out the EU. 37 of them rebelled against Cameron in the purdah vote.
