My colleagues all use Mac for lipsticks. I don't wear it, but theirs seem to last. Shade depends on your own colouring, they've loads.

If you can't find a good one in matte, you can always use translucent setting powder to change the look.

Rimmel Provocalips lipstain is fantastic. Stays on through anything (and I mean EVERYTHING!!)

Lipstain at one end, then a gloss to keep lips wet looking at the other. Think the one Ive got is called Playing with fire.

You need several good make-up wipes to get if off.

It costs about 6 quid.

xx

Have a look on the Maybelline or Bourjois counter in a large Superdrug. I've used most brands in my time from Chanel to Rimmel and they're about the best I've found for choice and staying power.

Mac lippy is really good, I like matt rather than glossy.

I bought a red Chanel gloss for a particular occasion, it's beautiful but I feel like a tramp so never wore it. I have such pale skin it just looked ridiculous. It wasn't cheap either!! Now I have a defunct expensive red lippy!

Red lipstick makes me look old so I have several useless ones.....except Mr N likes to look down on a pair of red lips while I'm giving him a blow job

Just as a random fact, did you know that a lot of red lipsticks use slaughtered animal blood as the dye to get the colour.

Let's see how keen you all are to rub it on your faces now.

Believe it or not I bought a boots own natural collection one and I love it. Stays put and the shade is great. Think it cost about £3. I've tried a few of the more expensive ones and wasn't as impressed

NARS Amsterdam is a gorgeous deep red, their Pure Matte lipsticks are some of the most comfortable mattes I've worn.

Bourjois is owned by the same parent company as Chanel.

Believe it or not Boots own brand have a long lasting matt red lipstick. £12 I think mine was and it stays on all day and feels really light too. They will even colour match the right tone for your skin. X

I'm possibly a bit repetitive in my choices but love wearing a good red lippy more than other colours. I do switch brands a bit and love high gloss, so will review a few recommendations.
