For balance, why should we remain in the EU?

You can pick the trivial, it doesn't have to be fiscal sensibilities.

I quite like short airport queues, where I'm treated with speed like a local. (They don't dose me with speed, before you ask).

I've not noticed any difference in airport queues, travelling in the EU or outside of the EU, makes no difference.

Try the USA immigration zones - short fast queues for residents and much longer ones for others.

It saves lots of money that would otherwise be wasted on elections when commissioners are imposed.

Same goes for the EU president. Very undemocratic.

It gives the tabloids something to make up stories about. Like bananas must be straight, swedes cant be sold in the wrong countries (the vegetable, not our gorgeous Shag).

Because it stops some very stupid political policies like minimum alcohol pricing on the grounds of fair trade.

Did anyone mention the gravy train - the EU is paying £1.5 million to the Euro group run by UKIP that consists of an alliance of far right wing, racists, fascists and holocaust deniers.

And in the interests of democracy because they're in that group they get enhanced rights to review and propose legislation whilst whingeing about it being undemocratic.

Excellent point. If we were out of the eu would that money stop?

That's one way it could stop. Another is for people to realise what sort of friends UKIP is cuddling up to to line its own pockets and vote accordingly.

Do you think people dont do that and should others be judged by the company they are percieved to keep? People like jeremy corbyn for example?

As someone who travels a lot and works in an industry dependant on free trade I'm all for it. Although it's been diluted and bastardised a bit the original concept of the European dream is one I agree with. 300 million people with a shared history and diverse culture working together and upholding some pretty darn lovely values

The best reason is probably the only reason I can think of to stay in.

A common ability to solve larger problems.

Yes it would stop, the whole point of UKIP is to see an end to the EU and an end to the gravy train. Farage has said he would like to see all EU MEP's fired, here is the link....

Is that on topic at all? Is Corbyn a piece of Euro trivia already? I certainly think that all politicians should be held accountable for their choice of political alliances and UKIP has chosen the far right and fascists so that they can get their snouts deeper into the trough of euro gravy.

Oh and to do that they had to recruit a Polish politician into their alliance.

Could it be that they were thinking ahead in case they needed a decent cheap plumber?

Not really. Unscrupulous employers in the UK will pay less than they legally should whether there's an EU or not.

I don't know if it did or not and I care less, you seem to know how the EU is set up and I will not insult you by assuming that you don't know how the grouping system works or the requisite numbers to form those groups.

You will also be aware that because people form a group it does not mean that they share the same views or objectives.

Would the guy who made that comment be the guy in the clip who questioned Farage called Mr Goebells?

I seem to recall another Mr Goebells from history who was in an organisation who wanted to dominate and run a dictatorship over Europe being alive around sometime 1940, you really could'nt make it up.

Could it be that they were thinking ahead in case they needed a decent cheap plumber?

Someone else mentioned Jeremy Corbyn in response to one of your comments, and i was merely responding to them. Have a problem with it, report me to admin, see what they do. .

You're a bit touchy - I don't give a toss what you think about Jeremy Corbyn or if you chat about him, insult him, praise him or whatever. If you feel that bad about it go and report yourself but I really don't think being off topic is something for you to beat yourself up about too much.

You don't give a toss about it yet you felt the need to quote me and make a comment on it?

Isn't that what the forums are for? Other people complain if you make comments without quoting the context. I just wanted to put your mind at rest that I had no need or intention to report you to admin, so rest easy; stop worrying yourself unnecessarily - I've never reported anyone to admin.

I still don't think he's euro trivia yet.

Yes but i quoted someone else who brought Jeremy Corbyn into this thread. Someone else mentioned Jeremy Corbyn before i did but you did'nt quote them and tell them they were off topic? Wonder why that is, seems you are the one who got touchy from the content of my comment, lol.

So we have to go through each post individually and respond to it? I'm sorry I wasn't aware of the rules - please feel free to report me to... whoever you like or don't like

This still isn't Euro trivia

Its not against forum rules either so i could post what i had for breakfast here if i felt like it.

I expect you had a continental breakfast."

Pmsl! I rest my case.

Costa Blanca Spain...

"Did anyone mention the gravy train - the EU is paying £1.5 million to the Euro group run by UKIP that consists of an alliance of far right wing, racists, fascists and holocaust deniers.

And in the interests of democracy because they're in that group they get enhanced rights to review and propose legislation whilst whingeing about it being undemocratic."

Don't mind a bit of trivia but there is no need for the extreme left bullshit. We get enough of that from the BBC and Guardian thank you.

I'm with you there. Who needs extreme left bullshit when you can get this sort of right wing bullshit so much more easily - I started with the UKIP web site to find out about it.

"Do you think people dont do that and should others be judged by the company they are percieved to keep? People like jeremy corbyn for example?

Yes the Labour party and Jeremy Corbyn the Osama bin Laden Lover who cuddles upto extremist terrorist groups like Hamas.

Are you trying to highlight wage compression as a reason to stay in the EU?

Not really. Unscrupulous employers in the UK will pay less than they legally should whether there's an EU or not.

I'm highlighting the EU gravy train and how UKIP got into it by recruiting a Polish person right winger as just one of their fascist and far right partners.

Are you saying that little bit of Euro trivia didn't happen?

I don't know if it did or not and I care less, you seem to know how the EU is set up and I will not insult you by assuming that you don't know how the grouping system works or the requisite numbers to form those groups.

You will also be aware that because people form a group it does not mean that they share the same views or objectives.

Are you saying that UKIP would like to stay in the EU so they can work with right wing fascists in a club run by left wing fascists? Just so you know, UKIP want the country to leave the EU and have no further part in this Kremlin style dictatorship.."

Yep here is another clip how the EU is similar to the old USSR...

It provides a democratic forum where MEPs can make freely make disparaging remarks about the EU without being imprisoned or sent to a gulag

Stay in?

To continue the ever closer union...

The dream that the German/Belgian masters have to be the USE (United States of Europe) uniforming under German rule, open door immigration to allow millions of Syrians/Iraqi's and Libyan's into our societies, to reproduce faster and repopulate the UK (due to its small size) as a newly Islamic founded territory... this is why we MUST stay in!!!!!

I don't think anyone will ever fully understand both sides of the equation, so it's difficult to speculate.

I was away this year, and enjoyed amazingly cheap champagne and sunshine. Does that count?

The EU passports are smaller than the old UK ones, sl less likely to tip you over your baggage allowance. Quids in! The EU saves Brits money.

Cheap champagne counts any day of the year! Bought some abroad today, but gave as a gift to hotel staff.

OOppsss sorry. Though after 4 years you might know better?

How about the earliest adopter of the Euro was New Zealand's associate finance minister. He exchanged NZ$ for euros at Wellington International Airport 11 hours before they became available anywhere else
