Aged 2 and a half being charged by a ram in a field, and butted head over heels. I remember being flipped up in the air and the sensation of the world turning upside down, and the sense of utter shock! |

Was about 6 years old came home from school there was a man beating my mum up on the kitchen table she was screaming i ran out and came back with the lolly pop man mum was in the kitchen on her own she told the lolly pop man i had a very imagination problem.
The guy that i thought at the time was beating my mum up tried to take the piss out of me one night in a pub had to tell my mates about it thought it was funny so i knocked the fucker out.
Please don,t thing wrong of my mother she was about 30 at the time a widow and getting her self sorted out God bless her wish she was still here today |

I remember with a few kids from neighbouring houses we decided to walk around the block, we'd not been out of our road and wasn't meant to be wandering off but we did, it seemed to take ages but probably didn't, it seemed like a great adventure,, I guess it was our version of the stand by me movie, except we never found a dead body |

My sister's christening, just before I was 2. My grandmother carried me down the aisle, patting me - I think I was being grumpy.I remember turning a corner, I guess to the font, as well. Quite colourful imagery. |

I remember my dad making bottles of Milo for my sister and I. The picture is a bit disambiguous as I don't see the whole of my dad just his legs, blue turn ups and winkle pickers and his hands, pouring the Milo from one mug to the next to cool it. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I have five early memories but I don't know which is the earliest but they would all be around two and half.
One is sitting in a little child-sized rocking chair my grandmother had. She kept a doll on it for some reason. I replaced the doll but I wasn't allowed to touch it.
Sitting reading a book and my little sister dropping a lizard onto my lap.
Putting on my scratchy white shirt and stiff pinafore for my first day at school.
My appendix bursting putting my school slate on the school bench.
Pulling the tube from my nose at the hospital after my appendectomy.

I remember everything because I have this stupid memory condition called hyperthymesia. Could bore you with millions of memories but will keep it to my first day at school. Wednesday September the 3rd 1986 I started reception, remember every kids name in my class, my teachers names mrs Coleman blonde curly hair big glasses, mrs Evans, plump lady short with a brown bob and she played piano! Remember the playing step that was done up like a house with bedroom and bed, dressing up clothes, a kitchen, remember the water and sand pits that were outside in our small gated yard that was inside the bigger yard. Remember my mum picking me up from school and us walking through the football field to my grans, remember I would only cross the road with my mum at a particular patch in the road where there was a line of tar that looked like a bridge going over the road. Remember my grand dad waiting in the road to see me walking towards the house in my uniform, what I had for tea, mashed potato, beans and corned beef! Remember watching danger mouse and inspector gadget on TV then walking up the lane with my gran to my great grans house so she could see me in my uniform. Remember walking back through the lanes with my gran and great gran and my great gran shouting for her friend that was in the garden to come out and see me in my uniform, remember my grand dad giving me and my mum a lift home in his light blue car B352BFW which I now know was a ford escort (if I'd known names of cars at 3 years old I would have remembered the make, I remembered the number plate!)
Remember being in the flag with my mum and her making me potatoe waffles before bed and then going to bed in her room and waiting for her to come up. Next morning in my bathroom my mum washing my face, I'd stand on the toilet seat whilst my mother brushed her teeth with this disgusting red coloured cinnamon toothpaste, my mum putting clean pants on me vest, then my uniform, then I'd sit in the toilet lid and she'd put my socks on, then have breakfast toast with marmalade on which my mum would pick out the peel because they hadn't yet invented shred less marmalade, then be back upstairs for my teeth, then down to the living room, my mum sat on sofa and me between her legs on the floor whilst she brushed and plaited my hair and made my eyes water then walked across the grass to school. Could see the school from my living room window! I could go on and on and on and every bastard day if I think about one thing it brings other things and just keeps going on it's own without even trying to think. |

"Seawitch that is some memory,I can barely remember what I had for breakfast."
It's more a curse than a gift. I remember everything good memories and bad memories as if they happened yesterday and all the emotions felt at the time I feel them again just as strong. I did an advance diploma in psychotherapy and counselling in 2009 and one of the clinical consultant psychologists said the way I recall things he wanted to do some tests to see if I had what he called highly superior autobiographical memory and he said I did! Handy for my friends because they always ask me about things that happened years ago! Nightmare for me and to this day I can't put a phone to my ear when I'm dialling because I can't stand the dial tone, reminds me of 1990 on a Sunday when I was ringing my grandparents house 01656742110 over and over and over again and they didn't answer and that never happened, turned out they had a last minute holiday to turkey to try and save their marriage cos my grandfather had been having an affair an he ended up leaving my nan when I was 8 and remember the day my mum told me on the way home from school as we were walking to my grans (grans being her mother my nans was my dad's mother) Fucking done my head in, and now put me in a sad mood again, wales better beat Italy now in the rugby to cheer me up! |

I remember sitting on my mums knee stroking her belly when she was pregnant with my sister, I vividly remember the journey back from my grandma's (I'd gone to stay when she had my sister) and going into the room to see my sister for the first time. I was 3 years 2 months when she was born. Also all my earliest memories of my mum involve her wearing curlers in her hair, I asked if she wore them constantly it apparently once a week.
One of my earliest memories of my dad is dancing with him, I would have my feet on top of his to do the dancing also him singing root and a tootto me.
I also remember learning to read my first book, it was called shopping with mother and I memorised it rather than read it and I'm sure my sister wasn't born then |

Apparently she described the motifs on her cot to her mum....she was right & there are no photos of it so can't have recalled it from that. Just means I can't get away with a thing...she remembers everything... |

My mother was back in work by the time I was 6 months old and would take me to my Grandparents every day. And then when I started school my Grandma used to take me and I also spend y school holidays with her. So I have lots of disjointed memories of time with my Gran but in all honesty not sure exactly when they date back to.
