Do you block people and why?

Never had to block anyone here, however - my profile on fabguys is a different story!
Mostly liers, folk that don't read profiles correctly.
I certainly don't take offence if I'm blocked - I know I'm a nice guy.  |

I block people with whom I'm not compatible, to avoid me accidentally mailing them, and to remove them from any searches/browses that I do.
I'll talk to anyone on the forums, though - no issue there. |

I don't block people just because I don't want to meet them that seems silly to me, if I look at a profile and they are not for me or i domt fit what they are looking for I simply don't mail them, can't see why you would block somebody just because you don't want to meet them |

I never block people first. But if I browse a profile and find they've randomly blocked me then I will 'counter-block' back. That way, if I can't _iew their profile, then I don't want them being able to unblock me when I'm not online and _iew mine!

I never block abusive people I find it more fun to play with them
I've had it on a few occasions where I've had guys being abusive and by the time I've finished with them they have told me I have a good sence of humour and do I want to meet |

I block anyone who messages me who I'm not interested in. That saves me being asked to explain myself and them messaging again. I always reply before blocking. |

Don't think I've ever blocked anyone yet. Don't think I've ever been annoyed enough to reach for the block button. What I do find childish and immature are those who send a nasty message and then block so you can't reply. |

I remember when I first moved to Tipton everybody round here says wench, its just what they call females, if somebody has a baby they ask if its a chap or a wench, now where I moved from to call somebody a wench is like calling them a slag so I wasnt impressed the first time I was called a wench, everybody thought I was mental as they has no idea why I was pissed off as its not ment nasty or rude at all round here, made a right tit of myself |

Some people don't take no for an answer and can get pushy. Generally people are really nice though. Except for one person this morning who didn't like my 'thanks but no thanks' message, sent a really nasty message back and promptly blocked me! |

We don't really block people. We only have a few people blocked, and its usually men who we turn down, but keep messaging asking how I (Courtney only) am, and what we did today, and how our weekend is....nonstop.
Otherwise, there hasn't been a need to block. I like, or don't care about, almost everyone on here.

I block people I message and either get no reply, just delete or we decide were inot going to happen. Saves me seeing them on my news feed and messaging them again. I have a dreadful memory and don't want to be hassling folks. |

I haven't been here long, but my block list is huge.
I block people for being pushy, crude on a first message, or if they keep messaging when I'm not interested.
I haven't really had anyone be abusive yet...perhaps because of this policy. |

I rarely block people. Only those I consider to be seriously deranged or would be "Trolls" who tour the site trying to bring their own brand of misery to people they think are too happy |

I find it funny that people voice opinions about forum users,often using that person's profile as ammo, and then block said person so they can't see their profile and return fire

i've learnt to block..didn't like it at all at first, i still don't, that's why i have my filters on, but the occasional one from the early days slips through and i use it now.. i just don't let people in now, unless i want to chat and meet with them, because i haven't the time or patience to shift through hundreds of messages, and repeat messages, and the why haven't you contacted me back messages..it was getting me down..
if people meet me now at clubs, or, they engage with me in the forums a lot, then, they get an invite into fort knox...just the way its got to be, unfortunately

I block people who's profile I don't match, saves me from contacting them. I think it's good practise. Also narrows down your comparability so increasing your success rate. |

I've blocked a few people who have been antagonistic or insulting for no other reason than they are insecure.
But I'm generally open to chatting to anyone. |

We block if there not our cup of tea so they can't message us again, if they clearly haven't read our profile then we block them, we have also blocked people who post on a thread saying they don't like fake boobs |

If I send a women a message and they delete it without a reply I block them. Just saves me messaging them again if they change there profile picture and I don't realise, old age there . One that baffles me is how long you give a message unread before deleting it??. Speak to a few women on here that block lots of men mainly for been disrespectful and demanding meets same day |

I block those I don't wish to communicate with. It's no big deal....although I do find it amusing that people think it's being mean or a terrible thing to do.....it's a tool and I use it and I don't feel bad about it. |

I very much agree.
Especially for women who get far more messages and interest
It's another great way to filter those your not interested in and leave time and energy for those you are. |

where did you get that idea from? x
im saying i have my filters on..if people engage with me on the forums, or at clubs, or wherever..then i would take the imitative and message them so they get through my filter system so the can message me privately (this is what i call 'fort knox'..my inbox on fab) xx |
