My Mum made my poor Dad drive through with some homemade soup...much as I feel for Dad- I've very nearly scoffed the lot already- with loads of bread and butter

My elder son had spent ages making a lovely meal with spiced pigeon breasts, and it was delicious.

I visited a friend later in the evening and the younger son asked me to fetch some tatties and mince and doughballs that she had had for her tea, even phoned her while I was there to butter her up and say he liked her dumplings better than mine!

What is it with males and dumplings?

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Pudding wise - Steamed syrup sponge or blackberry & apple crumble, both served with either hot custard/blancmange or a big dollop of fresh cream!
