My Mum made my poor Dad drive through with some homemade soup...much as I feel for Dad- I've very nearly scoffed the lot already- with loads of bread and butter |

My elder son had spent ages making a lovely meal with spiced pigeon breasts, and it was delicious.
I visited a friend later in the evening and the younger son asked me to fetch some tatties and mince and doughballs that she had had for her tea, even phoned her while I was there to butter her up and say he liked her dumplings better than mine!
What is it with males and dumplings?

He's just back from a shoot at his friends farm, partridge on the menu later this week. |
