I have just seen the body of a child being taken from the sea by soldier. The poor mite was two years old from Syria and was drowned trying to find sanctuary in the West.
I despair that we can provide the means to bomb, shoot and mame other human being but we cannot provide a coordinated humanitarian effort to assist these people who are desperate.

We're allowing the wrong people to run things, that's why.
I know that doesn't help these dead kids and desperate people but that's the truth.
Look at all the muppets eager to hate, they're easily led. If we have proper people running things they'd lead people like them to become fucking normal and fight for things that actually matter. |

Thanks. I know what's wrong with the world, not sure how to fix it though so probably not any better than the nutters in power right now. I know i wouldn't be spouting hate to my people though. |

The whole refugee debacle needs sorting and help provided to those people. I just cannot believe we in the West will let petty politics get in the way of providing homes to those in turmoil. It cannot be that difficult can it? |

That made me cry, such a sad picture, probably more because I have a child just a few months younger, we are soo lucky and I do appreciate what I have. This is no doubt a humanitarian chrisis, it has been ignored for too long, it's just sad that this sort of thing has to happen to get some kind of attention and recognised. |

Daily this is happening and daily people are shuving their heads deeper into the ground or turning a blind eye!
It's totally heartbreaking seeing so much death and not being able to help.
So many humans but not enough humanity!

Really feel for the people and children suffering in those war torn countries... Iraq, Afghanistan, burma, Syria... Just seems like it's never going to end. Governments who have the power turn their heads because there's nothing to gain from helping them, yet it suits them to act when there's things to gain... (oil, opium etc) |

Hello all,
to put things on it's head; if I were in mortal danger in this country the last places I would seek refuge would be The Middle East or Africa, why would I go to somewhere with a totally different culture? I'd seek somewhere with a similar culture.
