Molly is being induced as we speak, but have told her it could take up to four days for him to come.
I'm not due to be there at the birth but will spend the day with her tomorrow, I'm away thurs/Friday, both her parents are away and my mum is away.
Callum is already having a meltdown |

"Reflexology worked for me- get her to ask for that!
(If nothing else you get a free foot massage )" she had all her birthing plan worked out then found out she was strepb so that went out the window.
But will find out what they can offer her |

"My induction took 4 days was horrible but worth it in the end "
Can I ask why it was horrible?
(Sorry, expectant mother and am considering this on due date due to complications with the last one being left too long).

Basically the induction didn't progress as it should ie I didn't dilate more than 4cm in 4 days despite having pessaries a drip n my waters broken
I ended up with an emergency c section as her heart beat went down to 58 bpm.
I'm sure that's not the norm tho n wish you luck however your birth progresses xx |

I was induced worth iv drugs and a.r.m....i went from sat there normal, to delivered in 1 hour 40 minutes...
It was the most horrific thing ever...
It was an emergency so had to be done.
Hoping this time to have a less traumatic induction or a c section |

lucozde or lucozade tablets..labour slows down and even stops,if mother is tired..and keep moving around as much as they will let you..squatting is also good
i was lucky i've had 3 waterbirths and one dry home delivery
if use a bath to speed up labour, dont get in it till 5 com dilated otherwise its known to slow down labour...
wishing you all well..wish i was there, id give her the reflexology x |

"How exciting. I was induced 8 times with the gel stuff with my first child. I think it worked after about 48 hrs and was a natural birth in the end "
My best friend was induced about five times herself while being stuck in hospital for three days before she had her daughter, her daughter ended up being twelve days late, lazy little madam.
After all that the last stage of labour lasted only an hour with no pain relief. |

After the 4th time I packed my bag and went home I was so fed up. Plus the midwife had really long nails. Ewwwww. I had to go back the next day. So you really should do as you are told in those situations! |

Best of luck to her & hope she's well looked after xxx
My youngest was a water birth using natal hypnotherapy - very chilled! Would've loved a home birth but I know I'm done - I heard a baby cry 2 weeks ago & swear I felt my ovaries shrivel up |

Update
She's been induced.
Had a course of antibiotics flushed through her.
She's going to try and get a good nights sleep and tomorrow they've said she can be as active as she can.
So I'm over at there's and going back in the morning.

I was induced because my waters had gone the day before but still didn't go into labour. My waters went at 2 am on the Tuesday and the midwife came out to check me, said if I didn't go into labour naturally I'd have to go into hospital the next morning at 8am to be induced. Went in Wednesday and was strapped up with a drip in my arm and the monitor things on my tummy. Was a real pain in the arse as I wanted to be able to walk about big I was confined to the bed, had to drag the drip thing back and for the toilet every time I wanted to go, took me till 11pm to get to 10cm. I pushed for 45 mins but she was back to back, then I was rushed to theatre cos they almost had to do an emergency c section, I had a spinal and she was born at 3:54am by that suction thing ventouse delivery, gave her a cone head for hours! |

Update
I wasn't aware that the way they induce you now is supposed to take days, thought it was the same as when I was induced.
Anyway, not much progress but his heartbeat is high so on a constant monitor, can't break her waters as his head is behind the cervix making breaking them very difficult. They may move her down to labour ward but the way things are doubt it will be before Friday.
The other women in her bay where induced on Sunday and still there |
