Do you have a special place, somewhere local you go to clear your head, be alone and contemplate your life, peaceful, calming and makes you feel content and at peace?
I found a tiny wood in the Peak District, where the sheep can't nibble down the Trees, old twisted Oaks, covered with moss and lichens, the rock are covered with moss, all green, only a small gap in the Trees to see through to the outside, I feel like I've entered another world in there, I sit there and eat my packed lunch, it's so silent, you can hear the air whispering to the trees. Can't live without this.
Where is your special place? describe it to us. |

Yup... I have a couple of special places. The cemetery near my office is my haven from the city and people in general.
My other is near home, it's in the countryside and has a beautiful reservoir. I like the water. Even on a miserable, wet day it's beautiful. It's my favourite place. I like it when there's no-one else there though, in the evenings is usually better than daytime. |

"The lake Distract.
Its the only place I have ever found the tranquillity of solitude.
I love Ennerdale and Wasdale, lots of fond memories, nice.
The hills around Grassmere are spectacular "
I'll put them on my list of places to visit. |
