I've been to a few, daytime ones too, dress code isn't always obligatory, but it definitely makes for a feel good factor when you make an effort to dress... |

Been to a few and some do dress up, but it is usually pretty tame innocent fun. but fun none the less.
After parties would depend on luck or taking others with you I think. We never tried to pull at a mostly vanilla event L did get some interest when dressed,but only when I was away at the bar etc. and only from single men, so no different to a night club / pub really. |

Heresy and heels, runs an alternative and burlesque fair all over the country. Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Sheffield, Glasgow and Bristol. Next one in Manchester is the first weekend of December |

I've never been to a burlesque event, however, I have been to a couple of Emilie Autumn concerts, and the women in the crowds dress up in burlesque as does Emilie |
