Its always an amazing moment, sharing a birthday with your oldest. Mine just turned 18. I take each of them out alone for a meal on their birthdays ... always ends in tears ... in a good way.

Having a big family party for my Mum's 80th.

She made it to 88, but sadly not to 90.

10 years ago I was 30 and loving life!

I can't remember what I was doing on this day - but I used to travel to India every winter so I would have been working my bum off somewhere in the UK to save to be a beach bum

Wouldn't want to go back 10 years. Looking back on it, it was not a good time for me. Trying to come to terms with life changing grief is not a good thing to have to endure. Somehow I've got through it though. Currently in the happiest place I've been in for 10 years

A happy ending! I'm going through the grief bit now. It's hard to see past it but it's nice to know it's possible.x

Pissed off that every single one of my friends stayed on for 6th form, but I wasn't allowed by the school, so had to go to college.

Still pissed off, but I wouldn't be as independent if I'd stuck around with my friends and not been forced out of my comfort zone

It's a cliche, but time is a great healer. Just hang in there. Things do get better and easier.

10 years ago to the date was a Wednesday, I was still living with my grandparents and me and my gran were in the living room watching TV and looking through the Avon book for her to buy me some treats for passing my driving test the day before! Was eating a ham cheese and salad cream sandwich and a packet of steak mcCoys!
